A luxury hotel with fantastic views and helpful staff. I enjoyed the history of the hotel and marvelled at the courage and gall of Henry Flagler who built this hotel and whose investments paved the way for tourism in South Florida. Did not enjoy the spa; was not sure if feasible without an appointment plus we were pressed for time sadly. Aesthetically pleasing and quite a Zen experience.

Eye candy is there service is really! Pretty and clean salon but nails lasted less than 24 hours and only 1 personable staff.

Management suggestions:
1. Put your service staff to work for better customer service.
2. Remove men from the outdoor space when not there for Spa service. Fully dressed men on laptops who are camped there all day to gawk is creepy!
3. Take off chair covers on a sunny day so everyone can use the outdoor space. I requested this 2X - once in the morning and once in the afternoon and the chairs remain covered all day with not a drop of rain. Bizarre!
4. When guests tell you the steam room is not hot - do something about it.
5. Tell collection is not the most efficient way to lose your staff attendance. Every person I approached about an issue just lolled about and did nothing.
On a good note, My spa day in terms of services was excellent! I just wished I could have utilized the beautiful spaces to the fullest. These are all things that can be corrected with attention to detail. I will await a better experience next time I visit The Breakers.

Located on a sprawling 140 acre estate, fronting a spectacular ocean stretch in well-heeled Palm Beach, struts the celebrated Breakers Resort. Modelled after Roman architecture, this historic Mansion is a vision of wealth, with gold leaf details, Flemish tapestries, mesmerizing frescoed cathedral ceilings, Venetian glass chandeliers that look like they fell from heaven and a emperor's ransom in artwork and furnishings. A haven for couples and families, statesmen and women, nobility, high flying CEO's, social stars, have graced the front entrance of this legendary paradise. Guests are bombarded with a trove of entertaining facilities including 4 oceanside pools, 5 hot tubs, 10 tennis courts, (2) 18 hole golf courses, a scuba diving site, 9 distinctive restaurants and more...... and of course, an enticing spa...the Spa at the Breakers (Spa).

Palm Springs is a decidedly luxurious destination, home to one of the wealthiest zip codes in the US, the Breakers is an opulent resort and the indoor/outdoor Spa fits right into this company. The indoors, a palatial sanctuary, exhibits a stunning contemporary design and decor featuring modern clean lines, artisans elements and a soothing canvas of elegant shades of white. Once inside, guests are greeted to a light wooden reception desk outfitted with shiny mosaic tiles. Soft music is orchestrated with a harmony of dim & natural light to enhance the serenity of this oasis. The 20000 sq. ft. Mediterranean-styled Spa boasts of 17 treatment rooms, luxuriously appointed lounge, oceanic facing exercise studios, enticing seafood restaurant and more. The Spa brings the grandeur of the inside ...outside, with a coed courtyard, decked out with tropical landscape and views of the Atlantic.

Ah.....the Spa...god knows we all need a little indulgence and this inviting enclave welcomes guests to unwind from the trials of the life of the 'rich and famous' with a wealth of indulgent offerings (men and kids too). The Spa menu is so comprehensive: from marine algae body wraps to orange-blossom-sugar and salts-of-the earth scrubs (are we making a cake or getting a treatment) to plumping hair and buffing nails in royal fashion....and to top it off... under the counsel of a therapist, you can create your own treatment by stacking existing remedies into a personal experience of you own.

I perused the Spa service menu to select the most appropriate treatment for the novice spa-goer in me, keeping in mind that my skin was crunchy after prolonged sun exposure, my tennis elbow has flared up and I am enamoured of any anti-aging technology that will make me look younger. With this in mind, popular treatments that twigged my interest included:

ROSE QUARTZ MASSAGE: a massage utilizing quartz pebbles sourced from the Bavarian Forest (guess pebbles closer to home won't do) that are incorporated into a gigantic quartz bed which folds on an inversion table. This up-side-down treatment promotes the absorption of quartz energy accompanied by stimulation from the vibrations of singing bowls. In layman's terms, you feel like your basking on a sun warmed beach (in outer space) with accompanying music,
BLACK ORCHID FACIAL: an indulgent experience that capitalizes on the rejuvenating, strengthening and anti-aging properties of the orchid flower....this treatment reshapes, smooths and brightens the skin...any youth promoting technique turns me on.

In keeping with the Spa's world class posture, the facility strives to embrace emerging spa technologies, avant Garde ingredients and global trending influences to inject new exciting spa treatments supportive of ultra personal guest experiences. The Spa has recently introduced (3) 1/2 day experiences to its treatment offerings in the form of the following wellness recipes:

SEA YOU AT THE BREAKERS: infused with organic, marine-based ingredients and cold-pressed essential oils, this is an anti-aging remedy that firms the skin, reduces fine lines and reveals a youthful glow....more 'fountain of youth' wellness...yippee,
SUNSHINE STATE OF MIND: is a refreshing and energizing treatment that utilizes orange blossoms....what a way to get your vitamin c,
BUILD YOUR OWN SPA DAY: a Spa erector set that enables guests to package 3 spa or salon services into 1 customized session.

I was a little lily-livered when it came time for my spa service selection; but in light of my needs I choose the Build Your Own Spa Day: Orange Blossom Massage, Vitamin Brightening and Seaweed Infused Facial. This spa treatment combo provided muscle tension relaxation for my tennis elbow, hydration and calming of my sunburn skin, and anti-aging ingredients and techniques. I went into this treatment, muscle sore and skin dry, and came out, sore-less and skin 'oh so soft'...only disappointment, my anti-aging process didn't take 10 years off my age. Service was propelled by a roster of friendly, knowledgeable and skillful staff who did their utmost to ensure a memorable experience was enjoyed by guests. With catchy treatment names as endearing as the therapies themselves, services ring in at a pretty penny and are probably not for the financially 'weak of heart'.

So, if you crave a chance to disconnect from the pangs of a stressfully scheduled life, then throw time out of the window with a pampering spa session....... at the......
Spa at the Breakers.............Superlative Spa and Wellness Hub.

The spa at the Breakers is wonderful. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful, top tier amenities both in the spa, and waiting lounges. I’m never disappointed with my treatments when I go. All the treatments are cutting edge and current with a healthy mix of traditional as well. The spa store has many of my favorite lines, as well. They know how to cater to the needs of very demanding people with style and grace. Always a wonderful visit.

Flew down from Boston for a quick weekend. Arrived late, rooms were ready but no itinerary of our restaurant and spa reservations. Gorgeous room with incredible view. Nice amenities in bathroom. Pool and beach area is spectacular, both with lifeguards and rentable beach toys like boogey boards. Rented a bungalow by the pool for a reasonable price. First day service was awful, second day it was awesome. Used spa and had a mediocre message. Spa is nice but Eau de Palm hotel spa is better. Brunch on Sunday well worth the $125 per person. Would definitely go back to hotel but service could be improved. We did not get turn down service one night which meant no fresh towels. Tried to use kids club but got two different answers on why it was unavailable. Wait staff was hit or miss. They do A LOT of weddings and meetings so be prepared for noisy crowd where you go. Overall, Great place to take your family, just could use more personal service.

We went in without an appt and we both were able to get a treatment with our preferred gender attendant. While our treatments were short in duration, the attention to detail throughout was wonderful. The locker room and relaxation lounge were clean, light, bright and airy. The steam and sauna were refreshing. The showers were well stocked and extremely clean even though it was late in the day. The towels were soft and fluffy and definitely Premium Quality. Before we left, we explored the lobby areas and admired the historic architecture and beauty of the property. We look forward to spending more time here.
