Just a nice place to pull over and go for a relaxing walk or picnic among the trees. Aside from the summer, usually not too crowded and you can pull in aboat if you have one.

First time i waz there was when i was 8..camping with family. Was there in 74 on a motorcycle with wife and friends. Been many times tbrough the years and never disappointed. Close enough to everything but still secluded.

We found all of the geocaches and enjoyed a fire that evening. Hoping since it was so cold there were no ticks as we had the dog walking all over with us! Rangers weren’t very helpful especially in comparison to so many other parks. Restrooms...More

This is a wonderful park however it is infested with ticks. I've been in many parks including ones in Pennsylvania. I've never seen so many ticks. Be careful if you take a dog there. Check them very well before you leave. The park staff acknowledges...More

We've camped here several times and it's the perfect place to bring the family. Spaces are comfortable, we tent camp and bring boats and always have space. There's water and electricity hook ups at every site, so bring extension wires or plug in your RV....More

I'm not sure. I've seen dogs in personal boats on the river but the boats were a bit larger then a canoe. I suggest calling the park office. It's a great park to walk dogs however there may be an abundance of TICKS. If you... More

I have never seen any snakes there but there are snakes it's FL.I would not worry about snakes.
