Wow! This park is just absolutely beautiful! The greenery is so dense and lush. This about as close to a jungle environment as you’ll find in the United States. As a bonus, you get to see an occasional manatee or alligator swim by.

My wife and I recently stopped at Tomoka State Park ,which I had not visited in many years. What a disappointment! It is obvious the Florida parks department has allocated very little if any funds to it's upkeep as the chief Tomoki statue is in...More

Clean friendly and affordable. Best state park on the east coast! You can't go wrong here ! Staff are helpful, friendly and everywhere. Bathrooms are well lit and cleaned daily . Just be aware its Florida and we are in Gator country.

The ranger was very helpful on the phone and in person. The campsites have electricity and water. The restrooms are clean, with shower and laundry facilities, too. The large art presentation of Timacuan Indians is sadly deteriorated. The location of the park is perfect for...More

The best part is the beautiful surroundings of this Oak and Palm grove. This is Florida. Hanging Spanish Moss, dense tree cover...fantastic! Its the start of the "loop" ride around Ormond Beach(town connected to and just north of Daytona Beach). Old Dixie Highway runs through...More

I'm not sure. I've seen dogs in personal boats on the river but the boats were a bit larger then a canoe. I suggest calling the park office. It's a great park to walk dogs however there may be an abundance of TICKS. If you... More
