    Going on a safari!
Safari life is naturally amazing and this ride located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is no exception. The animals in their own habitats and the spectators quietly watching life happen. Aboard a safari jeep, you get the comfort of driving rather than walking and see the wildlife up close and personal. One of our favorites!

    Must do in Animal Kingdom!
To us, Animal Kingdom feels less like a theme park than the other 3 parks that make up WDW because of the animals, and the safari is one of best ways to see animals. Lines can get quite long, so we started our early entry mornings with standing in the FOP line and then heading to the safari after. Genie + helps but is not really necessary in this park. We went twice during our vacation and both guides were fantastic. We learned many facts about the animals we saw on the safari; each CM would spend more time talking about their favorites so each safari felt different, even if we saw the same animals. Giraffes are my favorite so it was nice to see so many on the safari! On a side note, you can see them at the Animal Kingdom Lodge too! Love love this ride!

    Good Safari
We have done this attraction a number of times on previous trips. It was a bit more bumpy than I remember previously and we had a few stops due to vehicles in front. A good chance to see various animals, which our little ones enjoyed. We saw quite a variety, perhaps not as many as previous visits. It's definitely worth doing whilst in Animal Kingdom.

    Meet some real animals
Our family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October. We enjoyed the safari even though we've been on a proper Kenyan safari and live within a few miles of an animal park. It's great Disney invest in conservation and along with their aquarium in Epcot, really good opportunity for people to see lots of different animals. Enjoy!

Amazing Simulation of a Safari Experience
Kilimanjaro Safaris is a fun experience and is about as close as it gets to going on a real safari in Africa. As one would expect from the expert Disney imagineers, Animal Kingdom has created a savannah scene that would make you think you are in Kenya rather than central Florida. It appears that animals are roaming freely in the wide spaces. Best to go early in the day when it is cooler, and animals are more active. Use Genie + and grab a pass for the mid-morning.

This is one of my favorite rides in Disney. On my week-long trip, I rode 3 times! The great thing is that the ride is different each time because the animals are always doing something different. Going at different times of day (like I did) also adds a lot of variety because different animals are active at different times of day. On this ride, you sit in an open-air, covered safari vehicle. A cast member guide drives you through the safari park. They provide interesting fun facts about each of the animals that you see and include humor as well. Some of the animals, like giraffes and zebras, can come right up to the vehicle. On one of my rides, we were actually stopped for 10 minutes because a giraffe planted himself right in front of a vehicle ahead of us and didn't want to move :-) It was actually okay though, because there were other giraffes, zebras, and a type of African ox that were walking around really close to us, and it was fun to watch them. All of the barriers between animal species and between the more dangerous animals and the vehicles are natural barriers, so they're not very noticeable - but don't worry, they're there, and the dangerous animals can't get near you or each other. The line for this ride is usually close to an hour, but it's worth it. I actually got henna done right before riding and then got on the long line so I'd have a reason to hold still while my henna dried! I highly recommend this ride.

This was so much cooler than I thought it was gonna be! Giraffes came right up to the vehicle! There’s so many different beautiful animals to see in this HUGE attraction. Feels better knowing it’s a very humane place. Try not to ride this when it’s super hot out, do it right away in the morning, wait for closer to late afternoon, or wait for a little bit of rain. Animals will be hiding in the shade if it’s too hot out! The Gorilla Falls and Maharaja Jungle Trek are just as cool too.

I really enjoy this safari ride. You get into a bus that brings you all around the safari showing you all the animals while learning some interesting facts. Shout out to the driver Will, he was so full of knowledge and an overall great tour guide.
This is a must.

We love the safari. Each time is different, so if you feel your driver rushed, just get back in line and do it with another driver. It's so nice to sit back and see the animals.
The ride is pretty bumpy, so do make sure you can handle a very bumpy ride before you go on this one.
Early in the day is the best.
