    Still the wildest ride
Big Thunder is one of my favorite rides and it has stayed the same for as long as I can remember. It is a rough, rickety ride, and it can be very loud at points. We only rode on it once during our vacation because it is pretty much the same as the one at Disneyland (I don't recall seeing the Goat though). The line for this ride is also very long most of the day. Even with the smoother Seven Dwarfs ride in the same park, Big Thunder is still a great choice if you like roller coasters.

Still the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness
My wife and I love this ride. Great details in line. Cast members were still not giving that magical experience. Also, make sure the interactive elements in like ALL work. Looking for a hidden WDW nugget in line? Look for the Tiki Birds tie in.

    Rollercoaster fun
Our family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October. This is a classic ride and a decent rollercoaster. Perhaps eclipsed by the newer rides but still worth the views at the top. Enjoy!

Arguably the most thrilling ride at Magic Kingdom
Arguably the best thrill ride at Magic Kingdom! Fast, thrilling, and amazing atmosphere especially going through the caves and seeing all the stalagmite. Line can get long but this is one I’d say is worth the wait. Really gonna miss Splash Mountain, but I’m really glad this mountain is sticking around!

Remains One of the Best Roller Coasters at Disney
Big Thunder has the right amount off drops and turns that makes it one of the best roller coasters at Disney World. Great theming and special effects as well. I think it's better than Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Even better is that all family members can enjoy this ride keeping with the spirit of Disney. Try to ride again at night as the trains seems faster and wilder probably because you can't see the twists and turns ahead.

Review from a Rider Scared of Heights
This coaster was so fun. I'm deathly scared of heights, so this ride was perfect because it goes fast without having any steep drops. At the beginning the ride does go up a steep hill which makes you think there will be a drop, but there actually isn't one - it's a very gradual descent that zigzags down the mountain. There are a few bunny hops throughout that cause that stomach skip feeling, but no steep slopes at all. The thrills come from fast turns and unexpected bunny hops. The scenery and theming is well done. Even though this ride is old, it's classic and has plenty of thrills. I rode it twice, once in the morning and once after dark. It's much scarier in the dark, I personally wouldn't do that again (I'm a bit of a ride chicken). It's a fairly long coaster ride, I think it's over 3 minutes. I recommend this, especially for people who don't like heights but who also like to go fast and who want to experience a roller coaster.

Classic Disney attraction this one! Definitely not one of the better coasters bar Disney World. But it’s a perfect in between! It’s a little more than a kiddie coaster but not quite up there with the likes of Everest and space mountain. Traditional lap bar keeping you in and it does definitely thrill as you go round. This mine train definitely isn’t as good as the seven dwarfs mine train and the queues are a little big for my liking with this ride. Definitely use a fast pass for it. It is still a must do, but then I think you need to do everything once!

We love this ride. One of our favorites in Magic Kingdom. And if the long lines are an indication of what other like too, then it must be loved. It will be wise to purchase the Genie+ LL service and use it on this ride. It will save you lots of time. I love the Old West theme.

This is a roller coaster ride with lots to see, not only on the ride but also while in the que. This time while walking through the que we were moving so fast that I couldn't look at all of the decorations.......never thought I would be saying that.
If you like roller coasters, then try this one.

Big Thunder Mountain is one of the most underrated WDW rides! The wait can get kind of long on busy days but if you time it right, you won’t wait more than 30-40 minutes. My whole family loves this roller coaster, we make sure to ride it every time we are in Magic Kingdom. One of my favorites!

I enjoyed the ride, my daughter on the other hand not as much. I love thrill rides and this one, although old, is always a fun ride. My daughter is just starting to ride thrill rides, so with this being her first time, is about what I expected. It is fun but Disney does need to clean the queue line and remove some of the trash around the ride.

My wife and sons (10 and 11) rode this on our recent Magic Kingdom visit. This would be a good ride for any kids (or adults) who don't want a kiddy ride but aren't quite ready for the bigger Disney coasters (Space Mountain, Aerosmith Rock N Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest). My family loved it. We hadn't done this ride in previous Disney visits. I skip the roller coasts for the most part (except 7 Dwarfs Mine Train).
