They obviously let the forest wild reminding of a National Park without touching the area. Thus, the walk on the horses was in a much nicer area than in the Apalachicola National Forest where they let young slim trees grow to clearcut them later. The trees were somewhat old and thick. The horses were much larger than we have experienced... More

we thoroughly enjoyed our trail ride. It was a single file ride through the woods, no narration. So if you're looking for more a guided tour experience, this isn't for you. The horses were well cared but I will say if you are a completely inexperienced rider, make sure you are up front about it, because not all of them... More

What a great time we had taking the trail ride on Tuesday, January 31. I am a novice rider. My sister and her two boys (11 and 9) were first-timers. We LOVED the 2-mile trail through the woods, a peaceful diversion from the busy parks. We rode at 10:00AM. It was a nice time of day. Our guides, Christine and... More

The horse trail ride is kinda one of those few "secret" things which Disney still does... and it's worth doing! But if you're napoleon and you're used to doing heavy calvary charges on the weekend... this clearly isn't for you. Otherwise it's a nice change of pace and scenery. Earlier in the morning is probably the best time to see... More

Overall negative experience here. The guard at the gate that you have to stop in to get to the ranch was a jerk. My son loved the pony rides and the stables. The workers there were good. We then did a carriage ride that I would not recommend. The driver and the horse are cool but the route is through... More

For our kids, this was the highlight of Disney. We are planning to return in November. A great time was had by all.

We just happened to be at the barn at the right time (2:30 p.m.) for the barn tour. It starts off in the small museum and gives you a close up of the 1907 calliope before you learn about the horses and how the ranch hands care for them. On the tour, you visit some back stage areas where you... More

Although only at walking pace it is a wonderful way to soak up the scenery and slow down. We rode during the morning and saw deer within the forest which was lovely. Horses looked well kept and not overworked, it is suitable for beginners and the people taking the rides make sure no one hangs on the horses mouth. The... More

Pros: First of all let me say – I was not expecting great things. I am a confident rider but as this was a trail ride for all levels I was only expecting to walk around a trail in a follow my leader fashion - This part was as expected and not an issue. I mainly wanted to do this... More

We walked up without a reservation, were able to get on the next ride leaving in just a few minutes. Helmets fit well, horses we calm, quiet, walked well. Saddles were all 16" western, comfortable. Loved the mounting platform, great design especially for people who need help mounting. Nice trail through the woods, 45 minutes. Guides were wonderful, personable, and... More
