- L18SUMStirling, United Kingdom2,057 contributionsNot to be missedOur family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October. Since the Lion King Broadway show was developed, the quality of Disney shows has been upped. As you can imagine, this show takes a lot of cues from its theatre land production and it's not to be missed. Enjoy!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 13 November 2023
- Natalie1204Kolkata (Calcutta), India7,928 contributionsEntertaining. Musical. Must visit if heading to Animal KingdomAbsolutely fabulous. If visiting Animal Kingdom, make sure you make time for this show. It’s spectacular. Lots of acrobatics and stunts, brilliant dancing, great singing and lots of audience interaction. It’s very very musical, peppy and entertaining. Kids and adults both will love itVisited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 1 June 2024
- its5oclocksumwhereDerry, New Hampshire452 contributionsHey, Timon! We are big theater fans! This was a full on production we would have paid to see! It had it all....singing, dancing, acrobatics and more! It was high energy! Bonus, it was a fantastic break from the heat! I liked the length, not too long that you feel you are missing out on the park, but not too short that you feel you wasted your time. Loved the Cast Member energy and audience participation!Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 July 2024
- michigander311Midland, Michigan505 contributionsLive action show with great wheelchair seating!Tremendous show, nearly worth the price of park admission alone. You are right on top of all the action, it is right there at your level, not up on a stage. Wheelchair seating is the best possible, best seats in the house. Seen it several times, and will again in January 2025, and cannot wait. Do not miss while at this parkVisited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 23 August 2024

We were able to get Fast Passes for the Festival of the Lion King which was good news since that was the only way to get to see it for the 5 pm show. We’ve seen the Broadway Production of The Lion King a few times so it was really nice to see a different shortened version. This show lasts a half hour or so and includes some audience participation, magnificent costumes, acrobats, huge animated Lion, Elephant, Giraffe and Wart Hog. This is a real must see, especially with children! Highly recommend!

This show is wonderful. One of the dancers took our son up to dance, he is in a wheelchair. It was wonderful to see him included, it made his holiday. Wiped a few tears away.
The sets, the costumes, the stages, the characters, the singing, the monkeys this show is stunning. So much to see. Could watch this show again, again and again. Staff are great, in the queue and getting you to your seats too.

We have seen this show a number of times before on previous visits. It's still great, we were one of the last groups through the door for the show we watched. This meant out little ones were able to stand up on our row as nobody was behind us and they could move around to see around people and get a good view. The acrobatics and performers were really good. The show is now back to what it was before Covid with lots of entertainment. Really great show, although staff ushering you out of the door to get over the yellow line so they can close the doors isn't great. They need to look and see you can't move forward if there are still groups of people standing in front of you.

Not the same show. The missing monkey acrobats was disappointing - they were always the highlight for me. The "birds" danced beautifully, but the "flying" was a true loss. Less dancers, less talented singers. Just disappointing :(

We have visited before and prefer the old version this was a little drawn out. But understand it's set to return fully soon.
We love this as it is an interactive fun sing along. With fantastic performers. It's great to see kids having a fun time pointing out all the characters and animals.

We have seen this show several times prior to COVID. It is always enjoyable. I believe they stopped it during COVID and just recently re-opened it. We went to see it recently (July 2021) and were pleasantly surprised. They have kept the singing and dancing and the overall show the same. For those of you that remember the original show, there is no more high-wire act and no more monkey gymnastics. Even with the differences, it is a wonderful show with good viewing from all seats in the theaters. I highly recommend going to see it if you are in the park.

I was told this show was much better before covid. I don’t know because I never saw it before. I can only tell you of my experiences. The staff was pushy we were told to sit here then told to move there. The show was nothing like I expected. I was board half way through and couldn’t wait to get our of there.

Hola Diana! ...

Yes. Tim got it.
As you come over the bridge into Africa you bear to the left.

About 30 mins but it's worth getting there early if you have children as they always invite a few to participate in the show. If you're sat near the front they have a good chance to get picked.

Good morning! how much do I have to pay for this attraction please?
Written 16 January 2018
There is no additional charge for this show, but you must have admission to Disney's Animal Kingdom (Theme Park Tickets) because the theater is inside the park.
Written 27 July 2018
No extra tickets to purchase....part of admission into Animal Kingdom. When we went, the shows were every hour in the afternoon. Because we did not have a fast pass, we got in line at 20 mins before the show time. FYI, you can download a WD World app for your smartphone that lists the times of events, waits, restaurants, menus, etc.

No the theater is inside and fully air conditioned ! Great show in cool comfort ! 👍🏼

Taking the grandkids... 17, 15, 11. Will they enjoy this or are they a bit "too old"?
Written 9 June 2015
Our 15 and 12 year olds loved the show. If your grandkids loved the movie, and they love acrobatics, great music, and jokes, they will like it. Hope you get to see it.
