Even though I read the comments about Typhoon Lagoon being bigger, this was plenty big. Since I don't do the big slides, the lazy river & wave pool was perfect for me. According to some reviews Blizzard Beach has the biggest water slide & it goes straight down with a few dips along the way. I loved, loved, loved how there were many trees & roofs over a lot of the chairs providing much needed shade from the hot Florida sun in July. The place was quite crowded & I'm thinking the day before, it rained all day so it was probably people from 2 days. I too think the locker rentals for $12 & $15 are outrageous! The food was expensive also at $13.49 for a hot dog & chips. I only saw bottled water & alcoholic drinks, no soft drinks. Maybe at the bigger restaurant they had them but the little ones only had bottled water for $3.49. However, this is in line with all of the Disney parks being super expensive for food & drinks. I can't imagine how a family can afford this at $70 for 4 hot dogs & 4 drinks for lunch! Since Walt wanted this to be a place that a family could afford, I think he would be very disappointed. I'm thinking these prices make up for the free parking which draws people to the Disney Water parks instead of the competitors where parking is $25. I was with a friend of mine & she & I had a wonderful time.

We visited on a very quiet day when the temperature was about 25 Celsius. We arrived just before 11 and were able to walk on to any of the rides we wanted to do. The chair lift is a good option for some of the higher rides.

Some of the other slides are up quite a lot of stairs with no warning about how far it is prior to starting the climb. I imagine if it’s busier this isn’t too much of a problem as you get some rest times but people were struggling with this in one go, especially with a rubber ring being carried too.

Food area was clean. Chicken tenders were lovely and hot. Salad was not the best we have had in Florida.

Given the low crowds it didn’t take us long to do what we wanted. Lockers are $10 for a small one which is not refundable. We were able to fit our backpack and items in here with room to spare. Just don’t over pack unnecessary items.

This is a great water park, there are a good mix of slides here from intense to very laid back.

The most intense is summit plummet, if you visit you must to this, if you’re nervous about it just think it could be a vertical drop. You’re in charge of your own destiny, get it done. It’s worth it for the adrenaline.

Slush gusher is also excellent, you get up to a good speed and briefly get air time on the first rolling hill, which I’m not sure happens on any of the other slides in any of the water parks.

The other rides are all much milder experiences but are enjoyable.

We used Orlando crowd calendar to plan the day to visit and it worked out well, we didn’t do much queueing and got around all of the slides and other attractions.

We enjoyed the rides more here than at typhoon lagoon but not as much as volcano bay, which is a step up again. Theres plenty here for those that are a touch nervous about bigger and faster slides and a kids area.

A great day our overall and a nice cooling break from the main parks.

I have mixed feelings as I write this review. As of late I can't help but think Disney in general has lost some of its magic. The prices seem ridiculously high, the service is up and down, and it can feel boring because the seldom add attractions when compared with some of their competitors. However I do really enjoy the Disney waterparks. They are never as overcrowded as some of the competitors water parks, they have rides for everyone and so as I said I am torn. My most recent visit I was happy that the park seemed to be doing a good job of keeping guest safe by having social distancing. There were a few times where people were a bit crowded but more the exception than the rule. I also was happy that as you enter the bathrooms they had people put on mask as consistent with CDC guidelines recommending you wear mask in doors. I am happy they seem to be staying up to date on the latest COVID recommendations which makes me feel safe to visit the park, but do admit some of that old Disney charm is missing. Please add some attractions and give the water parks and theme parks the tlc they deserve. Also get back to that old Disney service that made the company so great to visit.

Horrible customer service! We spent hours on hours setting up our Disney trip. When we get to blizzard beach, our group of 21, was told our reservation was not set up properly but what they can do is charge us all $25 more per person to get in. So, we spent hours to get this all set up, Disney messed it up and the resolution was to charge us more. The first I went to Disney, 10 years ago, I walked away saying best service ever. Now they are junk just like any other company. I would highly recommend universal as they still know what customer service is.

Blizzard Beach is the only Disney water park that is open (Typhoon Lagoon is still closed). We came here for the day and booked a "private patio". While this is expensive (USD$360 + tax, for an off-season slow day), we definitely enjoyed the perks it offered. We had our own private seating area with umbrella, towels, locker, cooler with ice, complimentary unlimited bottled water and complimentary refillable mugs for soft drinks all day long. We had a great attendant, Erik, who would pick up food orders that we placed using mobile order, as well as get us cocktails/drinks from the bar. The patio could seat up to 6 people, so if you're splitting the cost amongst a group of friends, the cost isn't that extravagant. It was a fairly quiet day at the park, so the lines for most of the slides were quite short. We got to go on everything that we wanted without waiting more than 5 minutes.

Absolutely gutted to score Disney so low!
We visited on the first day it reopened in November (13th nov by memory).
Disney stated it had previously been closed for refurbishment but judging from the lack of cleanliness, I don’t understand how this was the case? The truth is, staff from typhoon lagoon have been shipped over to blizzard beach because that had now closed and Disney were only operating one water park at a time.
We arrived early and the park was late opening.
The members of staff dealing with the upgraded beach loungers didn’t know what the prices were.
The coffee and donut hut was late opening (the member of staff was very rude as well!) and everything appeared to be a last minute rush of confusion!
The towels were stained, the park wasn’t clean and rides were closed with no reason why! It is worth mentioning later in the day the rides opened.
Believe me when I say this review is painful to write because I consider myself a Disney super fan but I left blizzard beach totally underwhelmed from the previous years I’ve visited. It was as if the magic had been switched off and opening the park was a formality with no care taken into consideration.
We actually extended our Disney stay to visit this water park and I left really upset and underwhelmed. No Disney magic… nothing!

We enjoyed our time at Blizzard Beach. I hadn't been since I was a child, so it was nice to see it as an adult. We went on Wednesday with pretty average crowd levels I would assume. Here is a quick overview of our experience on a few key features:

Attractions: We rode most of the waterslides in the park. We especially enjoyed the mat slides. It was fun to take the chair lift up to the slides! I will say that the "Slush Gusher" body slide was not suited to anyone above 200 pounds. It was uncomfortably fast at that weight. The ride wait times were varied with some slides being a walk-on and some like the family raft ride being over 30 minutes in the hot sun. I would say the park could use a few more larger family attractions to meet demand.

Food and Drink: On this topic, I would say the drinks far outweighed the food. The drinks were fun and refreshing, but the food was below average Disney quality. This may have been our error for going to an auxiliary food stand ("The Warming Hut") and not to the main quick-service restaurant. We had churros and loaded tater tots. They were just okay.

Environment: The beach area and wave pool were nice. Not too crowded but certainly not empty. Some of the areas could use an update, but it seems like the park has been well maintained since the late 90s. There were a lot of cute theming details that I appreciated. I definitely think they should bring back Ice Gator as their mascot.

Merchandise: We left with a towel and a tank top. The merchandise was mostly standard Disney stuff and not a lot of Blizzard Beach branded items. I really think they are downplaying this property for some reason. I want a "Joe Blow Snow Co." T-shirt! I hope they continue to update it since this the only Disney waterpark that is open right now.

We purchased tickets for our family of 9 for Blizzard Beach. We had always went to Typhoon Lagoon. This was our first visit. We also purchased the Polar Ice Patio for our family as well. We were all wonderfully pleased by our day. We had Ashlee as our attendant for the Patio. It was AMAZING service. She was the perfect host all day long. She took care of all of our questions regarding the rides and the food and the drinks. She took our orders and delivered perfectly everything we needed for the day. We were so pleased to have her as our host. The food we had at the patio was amazing. We had the chicken rice bowls as well as the pizzas. The kids loved their pizza and the adults enjoyed the vegetables and chicken. It was delicious, served hot and when we requested they be delivered. The drinks were served cold and refilled many times throughout the day. We felt like we were given full attention and for the price we paid for the patio, it was well worth the price. Difficult to find in these days and especially at Disney. We were all pleased! Thank you Disney and especially to Ashlee for giving us a day for our family for the memory book.

Theming and layout are outstanding. Very clean and staff is helpful. Amenities are plentiful from lockers, showers, towels, drinks, etc. Food is lackluster by Disney standards and still too expensive however park is only open for 6-7 hours so not a huge deal.
