I LOVED IT! We arrived early around 7:20am park opened 8am, we pre booked 1 day pass each, which was around $150 per person, we drove so paid for parking which was $30. We headed straight for the safari which was honestly brilliant!! I couldn't believe how many animals we saw! We then headed to Avatar World, the amount of detail put in is unreal, truly magical. We qued for about 80 mins for the simulation ride, OMG brilliant, so so good, I only wished it was longer!! We then went around the park I can't remember the order, Asia was brilliant and the Mount Everest ride was really good, I didn't know what to expect from the whole ride so maybe if I went again I'd get the lightning pass for the rides because the ques were mega long, all in all fabulous day

On the positive side the Character breakfast at Tusker House was excellent. Helpful cast members, good food and lots of Characters for kids.
The new Flight of Avatar ride was brilliant but we queued for two hours!
The safari is also a must do.
It is worth warning people that the queues for rides have been horrendous, even if you are up before 7 am to be able to book lightning lines or Genie + we found it was already fully subscribed. This cost $108!
Disney replaced a very simple ‘all inclusive’ ticket system with a very complicated system that offers different options to achiever one goal - to enjoy a ride! It has taken the best part of a 2 week holiday to understand this app! The old fast pass system was simple and available on all rides. It seems ridiculous to have virtual queues for some rides and not have the ability to physically queue, Genie+ lightning lane on some and Lightning Lane on the newest rides.
In addition to all,of this car parking at the parks is now $30 per day!
However I can’t help but feel the parks are getting further and further away from the original Walt Disney ethos and are now just greedy!

We did the Kilimanjaro Safari first as the weather was going to get worse as the day went on and saw all of the main animals out and about before they sought shelter from the rain which really good as on the previous time they had been more elusive. We then went and saw the lion king show and grabbed some lunch while undercover before then going to it's tough to be a bug. By now the rain was coming down hard so half the group headed home with the hardcore ones adopting the idea that as we are wet we may as well do Kali river rapids, which this time round I thought was a lot shorter than last time. Next up was Expedition Everest and using our previous knowledge opted for the single rider queue which was at most 5 people so we got 4 goes on this great ride in about 20 minutes with zero waiting times. We then opted to go to Avatar Flight of Passage which despite the hour wait is still a good ride especially now I have seen the film and know a bit more about it.

We had a great time at the park. We followed people's advise - arrived early and headed straight to the Avatar Flight of Passage. The app said the wait was 60 minutes but it ended up to be 90 minutes. It was hot outside, some areas had shade but the majority was with the sun shining on us. Once inside it was air conditioned and further inside, they did design 2 bathrooms (finally some thought into their planning). The attraction was worth the wait. We liked it so much we came back right before closing and did it again, this time it was only 45 minutes (once you are in line you are good even if the park is closed).
The safari ride was okay. We saw animals roaming around or eating. This attraction was also a 90 minute wait and mostly outside under the hot sun except one small part was in a building There were some shady areas and they did have fans blowing.
The Navi ride was beautiful. It's a slow water ride, has beautiful lighting and animatronics. This park has the fewest rides and we were able to do all of them in one day.
In summary, we did have a great time. You just have to know the weather and be prepared. We knew we had come on one of the hottest days so we knew we were going to be sweating. Of course, expect long lines and have fun. We are on vacation!

My kids are on the younger side (6 and 3) and our 3-year old absolutely loves animals and the Lion King. Despite this being the Disney park with probably the fewest number of "rides", we knew this would be a must stop.
We spent less time looking at animals than I expected during our visit. We did the Safari ride early on in our visit and saw quite a few animals during that time. After lunch, we primarily spent our time going to the shows and riding rides.
The rides at AK were fine, but far from our favorites of the trip. We all enjoyed the White Water Rapids ride, but the rest of the rides weren't as fun for us. That said, the shows at AK were fantastic. We really enjoyed the Finding Nemo and Lion King shows. I would highly recommend those. The scenery at the park is also very nice. If you want to ride the Avatar rides, you are going to want to invest in Lightning Lane, but I'd also recommend it for the Lion King show (as we didn't get in the first time we did the Standby Line).

I like that this park has animal shows and imaginative landscaping. The higher tech thrill type rides like Avatar, Navi river, Dinosaur and expedition Everest have long waits. We waited 90 minutes for Avatar. Waiting eats up a lot of your time. Dino land is being reconstructed. There are 2 production type shows, Lion King and Nemo, both good. Food choices that aren’t table service are about average. There are only a couple lower prices eateries, and several high priced options. By 5pm, most of the shows and Safari rides have shut down so people flock to the thrill rides so lines are still long. Overall, an imitative fun park with walking paths but be prepared to wait a while for rides. In 9 hours we were there, we saw the 2 shows, ate lunch, walked gorilla falls path and went on 4 rides. We didn’t get to see any of the smaller attractions. They should have the rides and shows open later so people can get their money's worth.

This was definitely my favourite of the 4 Disney theme parks this theme park is incredible from the nature, animals, safaris and just Beauty of this park to the ride the fast rollercoaster and immersive lands. This theme park is perfect for all ages from little kids to teens who love thrilling rollercoaster. Some of our family’s favourite favourites are expedition Everest, avatar flight of passage, Kilimanjaro safaris and Dinosaur. If you are there I would 100% recommend doing the festival of the lion king show it was absolutely incredible. If you are in the Orlando area this is a theme park you cannon miss.

As grandparents we accompanied our family on a two week holiday to Orlando. My wife and I have visited USA and Florida on a few occasions but not for a number of years. Although Disney and Universal were magnificent, Animal Kingdom being our favourite the cost of everything has skyrocketed. On top of the very high cost you are expected to tip an average of 25%. To give an example four adults two children very basic Pizza and Pasta meal with a couple of drinks $280 Theme parks now charge around $40 as do hotels to park your car. The Universal water parks charge $ 15 to rent a towel and the same for a very small locker, if you would like a little shade from the sun a shelter can cost between $200 and $1000 a day.Ubers are plentiful but over the two weeks we properly spent $300 on them, the curtesy buses from hotels were never frequent or convenient.
The Parks and rides are excellent, the queues can be long unless you fast track at a cost, $100 per family per ride. Go enjoy but expect to be horrified by the additional costs.

I have visited more than 30 similar parks and amusement parks around the world, but this is the first time I have seen an amusement park and a zoo together. This is an amazing highlight of this park. Unfortunately, it was hot in August and we had to leave this park early. That’s why I didn’t manage to see all of its attractions and show programs. Therefore, I advise you to book a hotel on Disney property so that you can slowly see everything and watch its evening laser show with fountains.

This park has improved so much in the last decade!
What once used to be a park that my family would just visit for half a day to a day, is now a must do on our trip and we enjoy returning to it a couple of times! The Pandora land is a particular triumph and I would recommend getting in to the park as early as you can to try and get on the main Avatar ride at the start of your day before the line becomes crazy long! I love this park now and definitely recommend coming!

Does Pandora still have that place in the gift shop where they can make the Avatar dolls that look like you? We’re headed there soon. Thanks.
Written 24 July 2021
They didn't let us really hang around in the gift show in the COVID conditions in May. The relaxation of rules started a few weeks after that. We did build druids at Star Wars, but that was by appointment only.

Hay algún tema de aforo y fechas. Vi que en la página de Disney hay que hacer reservación
Written 1 May 2021
Así es, debes hacer la reserva al comprar tus tickets, los cuales se cargan en la App de My Disney Experiencie. Si no lo haces no podrás entrar, ya que controlan el aforo de esa manera.
