This is a peaceful, serene park. The water is clear and lovely. We saw several manatees with their babies (amazing creatures) and walked the trail to the end. We didn't have 2 hours for the boat ride but would allow time for a longer visit...More

Visited with my wife and two long time friends. Enjoyed observing fish, reptiles, and manatee in crystal clear water near springs. Swimming is an option and some swimmers were present, but we passed on a cool mid Nov afternoon. No swimming at the spring after...More

We went here during the summer and the spring itself is beautiful. One setback is that the picnic area is very far from the entrance to the swimming area, so you would have to either leave someone watching all of your belongings while you swim,...More

We fell in love with Blue spring. The hiking trails are beautiful and we got to see some manatees in the springs which are just magical creatures. Such a wonderful place.

So aptly named (see photograph) we spent the best part of a day here just a couple of weeks back, the scenery is absolutely stunning, there is a great boardwalk which takes you right down to the Santa Fe river, saw many turtles and just...More

Love Blue S[ring State Park. It's peaceful with a feel of the old South. During the Winter months the Manatee come into the Spring. These giant sea cows are so much fun to watch as are the many fish that swim in the waters. Nice...More

The best time to go and see Manatees is in February. The gators are usually on the opposite side of the water from the viewing area. You will not be anywhere near them and I have only ever seen a couple.
