Ocoee decided to tear out the public bathrooms and plan to expand or "improve" the new all purpose building by ruining the park!
I am very disappointed in them, but, I have moved to Defuniak Springs and won't have to look at it any more!

I came upon this lovely spot while looking for a place to sit and eat a lunch I had packed. I was between appointments in the area and just wanted a place with a view and some solitude. Situated right on Lake Starke, this was just the right place. There are pavilions with picnic tables and lots of birds to watch. There is a short walking path along the lake as well. The park is right in front of City Hall and two other municipal buildings for the City of Ocoee.

This park is by the lake in front of Ocoee City Hall, and it is clean and safe. . It has a dock where you can stand and fish, and ramps where you can launch your boat. Parking is free, and the spaces are long enough to accommodate your vehicle and boat trailer. There are clean restrooms and drinking fountains. Several picnic tables are by the lake shore and most are covered for shade. Many special events are held in the park all year long. Founder's Day features fun rides, a car show, tours, vendors and free concerts by well-known performers. Other events include a Safety Expo in the spring. There is an indoor events center and a gazebo where Veteran's Day and other commemorative events are held. Many couples have renewed their vows in the gazebo overlooking the lake.
