They do rent canoes and kayaks in the Silver Springs State Park and would recommend doing this. Once out into the main waterway you are greeted by numerous types of wildlife from dozens of bird species, alligators, turtles and a 'non-indigenous' species - monkeys...left behind...More

We took a bottomless boat tour which had great scenery, interesting history, and alligators (at a safe distance)! The trails & gardens are fantastic as well. Beautiful place. The gift shop & fudge shop are also must-do items while here.

A Florida treasure! Rent a canoe and go for a cruise down the river. Stop by the concessions and get an ice-cream on your way out! The glass bottom boats are fun if you don't like canoes!

You may rent single kayaks for $15 for the first hour, $20 for two hours, Full Day rental for $30. You do not need to be part of a tour or group.
