We did the 30 minute glass bottom boat with our 3 year old daughter and she loved it. It was just the right length to keep her attention. There was also a small gift shop and ice cream. We also took a short walk along the trails. Lots of fun for young children.

We were invited to go with a group from church, and what a wonderful time. We did Kayaking and canoeing on the Silver River, and loved the variety of animals and plants we saw. We also really enjoyed a bike ride along the side of the river.

This park used to be private for a long time and now the state of Florida is trying to return to a more natural appearance. Some of the old structures are still visible but do not interfere with the enjoyment of pure Florida nature, like gators, snakes turtles and many birds. A glass bottom boat ride is the highlight.

From start to finish, our visit was wonderful. Do not miss the glass bottomed boat tour and have your camera ready. We walked through the new wooden walkways and bridges and even went into the grounds of the old house. Sat in the garden and loved every moment we spent at the Springs. It was a lovely Christmas gift to... More

Our group of women come here yearly and love it each time. We were 8 this time and the guys at the kayak rentals are very helpful and much appreciated. The river had a slight current for return trip. We did the side canal by the fake fort and cabins, it's lovely. Lots of birds and gators. We came back... More

Spent a few hours here between soccer games and enjoyed it very much. State has taken over, so it's not as "touristy" as it was under private ownership, but it is still nice. The grounds are lovely and easily navigated. $2/person to enter. $11 each for the glass bottom boat (a little less for kids and seniors). The captains give... More

Took a private pontoon boat tour with 2 other couples of the river. Very serene and full of wildlife! Saw the famous wild monkeys, lots of big turtles, tropical birds, alligators & fish! Many beautiful natural springs in the river bottom. We linked into the Ocklawaha River and went thru Silver Springs Park to see the glass bottom boats in... More

A group of 12 of us visited this river. We kayaked the 5.3 mile run. The river is not for the faint of heart. It is not a swimming and playing river. It is wild yet wonderfully full of nature at every turn. We saw gators and beautiful birds and wild monkeys, turtles and wild hogs. The experience was really... More

This place is great for families, but it has no working rides like I remember from childhood. The glass bottom boat is nice and calm, and it's nice to envision the filming of so many shows and movies from this vantage point. Not too much else to do though, so proceed with caution if you're looking for action packed adventure... More
