Awesome beach location!! Secluded with a spectacular ocean views!
We went to this beach state park on our way back to the low-country. This is a very cool beach park that has multiple walkways, picnic areas, parking, restrooms, and a very secluded beach!! It’s only $5 to enter and you can stay all day! The FL coastline has many surprises that you wouldn’t see unless you source the green areas. Very clean with magnificent views!

    A limited visit…but very good.
Visited the Nature center and met Dawn, a volunteer at the Center. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely happy to have opportunity to share her knowledge. Learned more about the eco system and turtles than one can imagine.

    Beautiful park!
This park is a great escape from the “city” We rented kayaks for half the day and paddles around to Munyon island, we enjoyed the almost empty beaches for hours! Take a few minutes and check out the nature center and learn about the turtles. We went back at night for a turtle walk, unfortunately we didn’t get to see a turtle come up but the night was beautiful! ( if you do a turtle walk, bring bug spray with deet, or you will get bit!)

    Great kayaking and beaches
The state park is a high quality visit for all. Picnics, small concerts, beach activities, kayaking. The beaches are fantastic. Not much fir shells, but beautiful sand and shoreline. We kayaked in the morning and saw plenty of birds and a manatee. Great place to spend a few hours or an entire day.

We got there late in the day so the facilities were closed. It’s a far walk to the beach from parking. It was a windy rough wave day. There is a tram but closes at 4 I think.

Beautiful hidden beach. There was a lot of current and wind on the day we visited but the water was still wonderful. I imagine that on a calm day, this is paradise.
You can hitch a ride with the park kart or walk the boardwalk for 5-10 minutes.

What a beautiful hidden gem and Palm Beach County nestled amongst the concrete between singer island in North Palm Beach and a barrier island is John Deere MacArthur state park. It’s beautiful encompasses is many acres and lots of history of the area. Plenty to do such as snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, nature center, displays, gift shop, and of course the beach. Preserved as it was from years gone by. Go Enjoy❗️❤️

We spent a few hours at this small state park with our older kids. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We passed through a visitor center and then walked to the beach by way of a long boardwalk. A leisurely, easy walk took us about 15 minutes, but tram service is also available all day. The beach area includes good bathrooms. The beach is small, not well groomed during our visit, but it met my expectations for a state park and I would recommend it as a stop on your vacation. It's secluded and beautiful, only a handful of other families on the beach on a Tuesday in February. We took the complimentary tram (golf cart) ride back to the parking lot.

Afternoon relaxing on the beach with hubby. This was the closest beach to our vacation rental. Only $5 per vehicle to get in. Gates close at 6pm to get in, but no one is rushing you out either. Sunset was beautiful by the walkway. There is a long walk from the Parking lot to the beach. There is a golf cart that take people back and forth, but it stops at 4pm (I believe). Beach was beautiful and clean. No lifeguards on duty. Perfect for family beach day or a day date with hubby.
