We made reservations for the Captiva Cruise to Cayo Costa in advance. A small fee to park, however, the parking pass is good for the entire day. I would recommend getting there in the morning as parking does become very limited as the day goes...More

Crew was friendly and knowledgable. Boat was roomy and clean. Tour stopped and started on time, which I appreciate. Nice bar and snacks. We booked the dolphin tour and saw LOTS of dolphins! They ride in the wake of the boat and frolic in groups,...More

Without the SCCF speaker this cruise would have been a bust. We were hoping to be closer up to the few islands we cruised by on the lady Chadwick. Was a bit disappointed.

We reserved 7 seats 1 day in advance. Marina is at the end of Captiva. $5 for parking. There were about 20 people total on our tour. Water was calm, sailing was pleasant. Our captain pointed out area attractions and played great music. Liquid Refreshments...More

Very good value for money. Shady areas on the boat and a food and drink service. Informative staff and the bonus was we had a pod of dolphins following the boat so got done great video footage.

This was a last minute decision to take the sunset cruise. They gave us terrible directions, why they don't just tell you it is in the resort is beyond me. Once we got there we had a great time on the cruise. The captain was...More

Our family group of 10 took the 3.5-hour cruise through Pine Island Sound up to Cabbage Key. Cost $40 but worth more. Capt. Bob provided great narrative on the ecology, history and economics of the leeward islands. Capt. John mixed some fine bloody Marys (just...More

On our way to Sanibel area today - family of four - two "kids" ages 21 & 23. Trying to decide between the Useppa cruise or the Caya Costa for shelling. Any recommendations. Also - the full day at Caya Costa or half day? Thanks!

sorry I missed your question as I was away, but we took the exact same cruise you chose and enjoyed it so much. We didn't get as many usual shells as we had hoped but where we were staying our shell hunting was fabulous so... More

How long did you actually have to look for shells on the island? Did the cruise to the island take up most of the 3 hours?
