Enjoyed the short walk through the shaded forest (take bug spray!). The history of the house and community are very interesting and the view of the lagoon is lovely!

This house is on the national seashore and gives a nice glimpse into old Florida. There is also a pier and people were fishing and we met some kayakers. The house has old photos and talks about the area, both natural and historical. A volunteer...More

But beautiful sunsets! Currently the hours are only on Fri/Sat/Sun. But the view of the sunset from the rocking chairs on the porch was with it!

Very interesting history and video. If you are in the park a must stop to learn about the area and what they tried to make it. Worth sitting on the front porch and looking out over the river.

Nice short walk from the parking area to the house. If docents are there you get a good overview of the happenings when this area was a stopover and a very nice film of the area.

This is a well preserved/renovated historical place that will take you back to early settlers time. The park guide was very interesting and certainly knew his topic.
