A place to escape the rat race and hectic pace of this modern world. Nice restrooms playground equipment if you bring the kids. Walk the boardwalk through the woods. Bring your kayak, or canoe and launch from the handicap accessible dock.

I was waiting for a dinosaur to come say hi. Very nice place to enjoy Florida nature. No birds just turtles and lizards.

Time for park closure was earlier than sunset, but the ranger allowed everyone to stay to watch. Sunsets are spectacular. We were in the area only a few days but made sure to get back for a second showing!

We have seen manatee, dolphin, and alligator. The Cote river is navigable from the Gulf of Mexico to the Preserve so you might see all kinds of sea life.
