When I first moved to this area in 2011, I always spotted the familiar shark entrance but always saw it at the last minute while driving past. A year later, when a friend came to visit with her children, we decided to check it out....More

The Shark Museum is no longer in business, not that you are missing much, unless you like tacky, beach themed souvenirs.

Sad to say, it closed in 2014. After living in the Florida Panhandle, most of my life, I finally visited in 2012. It was what I expected. Many gifts, from the last century. I bought a plastic manatee and enjoyed the live Nurse Shark. When...More

The shark is still on the outside of the building and while it was a busy place for tourists, locals NEVER went there so the business closed over two (2) years ago.

All that is left is the shark's head and body entrance. I like to go in places like this and see what goes on, but not this one. There is another store up the street with lots of stuff to look at.

Sadly they are closing. I was there In February everything was half off and people were there buying up the empty shelving. Was told they were hoping to be closed in April. Was always a favorite place to buy souvenirs!!!

Just not my thing I guess, but it was larger than what I expected and had a lot of great shells. Where tourists go to load up before going home.
