Interesting nature event. There are inside and outside exhibits. Also walking trails. Great experience for families with children. Educational exhibits and speaker series. They also have annual memberships which allows you to visit anytime and attend the speaker sessions free. Great for family fun and education.

This is a neat education center. You learn about neat fish you would never know existed in the area. There's a touch tank, a small aquarium area, microscopes for the kids to look at plankton and other things up close, a replica of their research vessel for the kids to play in with lots of play crustaceans and other sea... Inside the center was ok. There were informative areas that explained some of the objectives and history. The trails portion was horrid. The mosquitos were so prolific they could have carried you off. We all coated ourselves with some serious tropical strength repellent and had to re-apply throughout the walk. We survived the walk and returned to the center and... More

I am an avid kayaker and spend a lot of time paddling in the Reserve. I find visiting the center and speaking with the volunteers educational and very informative

Our family of 4 loves Rookery Bay! Very educated nature-loving employees who help children learn about the ecosystem of South Florida! They helped us identify a snake we saw earlier in the week! We saw baby bull sharks in the river! There is a great trail to walk and many displays to see. Check their website for special events! Very... More

A great way to spend an afternoon inside and out using the wooden walkways to see the Manatees in Rookery Bay. They have presentations occasionally on different aspects on the Florida Everglades, or how the waves in the gulf are measured. It's an interesting place to visit.

The centre is excellent, with many high quality visual and interactive displays. Also connected to a good boardwalk that went over the water then through the bush, with a good observation platform halfway. We had hoped to go on a guided tour, but were told we were out of season and all such had stopped. Agreed demand would have fallen... More
