Great find as we were touring the antique shops in Micanopy. Great pieces of Florida history but the two women working at the museum made the visit. You could tell they loved what they did. Definitely worth the time!

We stopped in here and enjoyed looking at the historical pieces from around the area. This is a nice little museum, and the man inside recited some quick history for us. He had his spiel down pat, and I was amazed as he repeated it...More

If you find that you have some time while walking around Micanopy, it's very much worth a stop at the Micanopy historical society museum. The staff was very helpful and the informal tour was great!

Great docent made for a wonderful visit. The museum is small but jam-packed with interesting Florida memorabilia. The Native American portraits are of special interest, though the old still was stiff competition!
