It is a perfect sense of South Beach to walk up and down this area anytime of the day, but specially weekends at night, when the vibe is at full blast!

For my 1st time in Miami Beach, the Art Deco district which was 5 min from our hotel was a must. Nice. Many buildings under restoration.

Enjoy this neighborhood which is full of beautifully preserved hotels and other buildings from the Art Deco area. However, you won’t learn much just walking around on your own; we highly recommend stopping at the Art Deco Welcome Center for information about tours. They aren’t...More

The art deco area has some very interesting buildings that are lit up in various colors at night. The architecture is especially appealing. However, a good part of South Beach/Art Deco area has become a bit seedy. Some of the buildings are obviously run down,...More

Miami Beach is heaven for Art Deco lovers! It is heart warming to see all these lovely buildings in great condition. I enjoyed this district very much; this is certainly the best part of Miami Beach.

Art Deco district is a must when visiting Miami Beach. Just take a walk along Ocean Drive at least to admire the buildings, or go further afield. The only down side with Ocean Drive is everyone trying to get you into their restaurant... it’s only...More

Just to stroll down through this district and look at the buildings is fascinating. Many of the buildings in this area have appeared in many films as well as the great Miami Vice detective series. A great area for food and bars.

The Art Deco Historic District is really cool to experience at night; it is colorful and fun! With so many buildings being torn down for newer, bigger, blander buildings. It is refreshing and exciting to see that some of these older buildings have survived the...More

There’s so much happening on street level but I encourage you to take the time to look upwards at the great Art Deco styling of the buildings in the area providing a retro charm.

It is wonderful to see that the houses are more beautiful as time goes by. It is a very fun tour to do and you can do it at your own pace.

To move around Miami beach and the Art Deco district, I agree, use the free shuttle. If you arrive by car and want it parked without having to worry, use one of many municipal parkings at 20$ a day maximum. Note that under... More
