Collins Avenue contains most of Miami Beach's Oceanfront and is home to the majority of Miami Beach's 4 to 5 star hotels and condos are located. It has lots of shopping and dining like most streets but you have more hotels on the beachfront.

I stayed at the Catalina Hotel & Resort located on Collins Ave. I was walking distance to all the happenings, the Beach, Restaurant, Bars. Shopping, Historical Landmarks and Art Deco Galleries.

Collins is a nice strip of hotels and bars where you can have a good time. lots of happy hours and shopping one block from the beach. Right in between ocean and Washington. Those 3 are the Trinity if South Beach

I'm sure the adventure of the flights and being away contributed to the mystique. But, all-day sunbathing marathons, the refreshing clear pool .vs. murky lakes back home and, of course, nightly strolls down Collins in... More

There are many restaurants and shops on this street. But most of the action is on Ocean avenue. But take a walk for sure. Wear your sneakers tho!
