Strip is nice with plenty of hotels, clubs, bars, attractions and it's one block from the beach. Very busy area with a whole lot of action. Very nice area.

Collins is beautiful. Art Deco buildings, art galleries, eateries, hotels, shops, but it’s a far walk from the foubtainbleu (44th Street) to Lincoln Road (17th) so take a free trolley bus. They run every 15 minutes. Remember it’s the trolley, not the buses! That would...More

Another busy street just one block from the beach but a bit more likeable than its neighbor. Lots of hotels and restaurants which are all much better than those on Ocean Drive

Contains multiple hotels, on both sides of the Avenue, and runs through South Beach to Middle Beach and North Beach.

We drove down Collins Ave to observe and enjoy the architecture of the Art Deco buildings. They are colorful, beautiful and mostly restored. Its fun watching people from all over the world driving and walking, biking, scootering and generally having a great time.

The place is dotted with numerous hotels and resorts on one side while a gorgeous looking beach on the other side. Beach chairs n towels can be rented out by paying a premium amount else request it from the hotel you staying at.

Stay on the ocean side of Collins Ave if you can spring for it. Beach and pools for you and then step out the front for restaurants and shops. All walking distance. We stayed at The Shores Resort and explored the areas of South Beach...More

We stayed at the nearby little Villa Italia Hotel and walked Collins Ave looking for s dinner spot and a little last minute precruise shopping. It is a clean , pleasant Ave with a tropical look.

Yea definitely Ocean Drive if you want to be right in the middle of the action. Collins is the street behind so its not a bad option either. The Rock Hostel is always doing tons of fun party activities.
