walked to this museum only to find that it is closed for renovation, the small park in front of it seems to be a new home for quite a few home less people sleeping under the trees...but there are a couple of sculptures in front .

This "museum" once again proves that Miami is a long way from being a cultural capital. The infrastructure is great, but the content is laughable. So small you can see everything in less than 15 min.

Thank you so much for stopping by the Bass Museum. As you found out, the galleries are closed for renovation and will reopen late 2016. We are so sorry you were disappointed. Starting in October we will have a series of artist projects in the lobby of the Miami Beach Library, across the street from the museum. In the mean... More

The traveling collection was OK, but I had hoped to see more of the permanent collection, which turned out is typically out on loan. Oh well...

My visit to the Bass Art Museum was truly exhilarating. The permanent collection contains an amazing collection of art work spanning centuries of art. The special exhibit (Peter Marino) was provocative and enjoyable. To make it even better, the Museum wasn't crowded, and the staff were very personable. It was also fun to view the pieces outside - quirky and... More

My daughter is an art school grad and she 💜 art and wanted to go. Small but nice exhibits. This is a local Art Museum and the cost of entrance covers many things. Art is in the eye of the beholder !!

I didn't enjoy it. It actually hurt that I paid to see it. I've liked some museums and exhibits I've been to, this one wasn't worth it.

Several very good temporary exhibits: I saw the Gold exhibit and the Peter Marino. Both were very impressive and informative. The setting is very attractive and the outdoor sculptures were great. So glad I visited.

Contemporary exhibits in an older art deco building. There was just enough to see without being overwhelmed. The grounds featured sculpture as well. Paid $8. admission.
