About
A festival as chic as the city from which it was born, Ultra brings together the best DJs, electronic and dance acts from around the world, to Miami. Taking place during the annual Winter Music Conference in March, the festival is perfectly timed to ride the wave of electro music cruising through the city. Deadmau5, Carl Cox, David Guetta and Tiesto have all played Ultra previously, and today the festival is so successful that it's been replicated as far afield as Ibiza, Buenos Aires, Tokyo and Johannesburg.

Incompetent and Rude On-Site Staff

I needed assistance from someone onsite and I spoke to multiple people who were all completely dismissive and often outright rude and hostile, nevermind completely incompetent in not being able to answer my questions. Due to the issue needing a quick response, i tried multiple online contact forms and did not receive a response until several weeks after the event ended. I have erecived feedback from Ultra saying that everything had been clearly communicated in my purchase contract, on the website etc which conveniently skates around the issue that Ultra's onsite staff was completely incompetent for not knowing the information I was looking for, since it was so easy to come by, and also that there was no excuse for them to be so rude and hostile. One accused me of trespassing and another had an officer with him with his hand on his firearm during the entire interaction. I really only expect barebones support and competence at this festival in particular. This year Ultra couldn't even meet that low bar. Absolutely pathetic showing from all Ultra staff.

We can't help but feel disappointed I am afraid

There is simply too many people in too small of a space for Ultra to be enjoyable. We had a phone stolen and a very tough time getting any sort of comfort zone anywhere. The main attraction for me was seeing holo at the megastructure but it didn't feel mega at all. Everyone was packed like sardines all pushing and shoving it was just awful. I am also sure I want hallucinating when I thought the sound was off, especially the bass. Certain tracks just didn't sound right. We came all the way from Scotland and really enjoyed Miami but would not return to this festival. UK festivals such as Creamfields simply don't have the same problems.

I love festivals, ultra miami had been on my bucket list for years so I was very disappointed with the soulless corporate experience I went through. It felt like buying a very expensive rum cocktail which tastes OK, but has no rum in it. Today is the start of day 2 of 3 and I'm writing this review rather than being there. I will eventually go, but only because the ticket cost so much.

If you've ever seen "severance", imagine that set in a park with house music instead of in an office.

Having an overly displayed police presence did little to help. Its important people feel safe but it felt more dystopian. Thanks Ultra for my government sanctioned 6hrs of fun.

Terrible Ultra THIEFS festival

The WORST service I've ever had so far was: Ultra Music Festival, Thiefs. I generally don't spend time to write reviews unless the behaviour of a company is extremely unfair. They canceled a very expensive event and decided not to refund the tickets. They didn't even provide me a phone number to discuss about the issue and they always hide behind not helpful/useless email answers. Very incompentent customer service. I will not follow any future events from them! Hope one day you will fail from lawsuits aginst you, THIEFS!

Refuses to give refund for cancelled event

Booked and planned our trip to Ultra to have them cancel the event. Ultra decided to “postpone” the event till next year(like the weren’t going to have one next year). Then not offer a refund option and decide that we get a coupon for merchandise that they couldn’t sell this year. Proof that a million dollar corporation doesn’t give a f*ck about you.

A complete waste of money, time and energy. How are you going to completely cancel an event and be so stingy that you won’t even offer a refund? Go to a festival that cares about its customers.

Ultra Music Festival is a super fun week to be in Miami – there are tons of events going on all over the place. Miami is not too hot but still great beach weather! The festival itself is over the top with setups, all the stages, sound and the backdrop of Miami is EPIC!!! The one HORRIBLE thing about this festival are the bathrooms… and so here is the solution!! If you are a FEMALE and you are going to Ultra – MAKE SURE that you take disposable pee funnels with you! They fit in a pocket, you just pop them open and stand to pee. You don’t even mind how bad the portapotty is because you don’t get near any contaminated surfaces! I LOVE the SaniGirl ones which are disposable, practical, easy to use and 100% recyclable/eco-friendly (sanigirl.com) Having these with you will make a huge difference – stay clean/happy/fresh & enjoy the MUSIC! Ultra is TOP!!
