This is an old haunt of mine. I went not long ago to listen to the winners of the O Miami poetry competition recite (coming up again in April)....make sure you learn the back story of how one man put this beauty together piece by piece and basically started Miami's perpetual construction boom.

Very well kept with lots of history. The grounds are amazing even though is being revamped, the could do some of the work after hours as to not to interfere with the tourists. Suprised to see it packed on a Monday afternonn Tip try going early for best pictures

It is an old mansion and a museum with nice pieces of work. But the best part is the garden indeed. It is beautiful, magnificent. The view of Miami is also very beautiful from the house docks. It is a must see definitely.

Absolutely lovely. Beautiful grounds to walk around. Much more than I expected. The mansion is spectacular. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There is a small cafe if you need a snack.

Unfortunately, Miami is not a cultural center like other metropolitan cities in the U.S.. BUT, Viscaya is one of those little gems that could easily have been situated in southern Europe. The Deering family lived here as they had in Europe accept for ,maybe, some unwanted guests, early morning mosquitoes. Visiting Viscaya gives you a taste of that old fashion... More

Built in the early 1900s, this Estate is truly a gem. Tucked away in Coconut Grove, Miami, this is one place you do not want to miss. We went with my 2 year old daughter and there was enough space for her to roam, and nothing that she could get intoinside the home itself. Do yourself a favor, and check... More
