Built in 1916 as a winter retreat, this lavish villa is a tribute to the Italian Renaissance. The museum contains much of the original furnishings and artwork, and is surrounded by lush, formal gardens.

A great place to visit with friends or to go on a date. I visited with a group of friends during spring break and we had a blast. Perfect scenery to take beautiful pictures.

If you are anywhere close to these gardens you MUST go. You will be transported to Italy as you walk through the gates....I will be visiting again.

Vizcaya is great if you are interested in history, architecture, culture, and imaginative living. If you are bored by the traditional museum, you will love Vizcaya. You can walk around at your own pace, step back in time, and forget that you are even in Miami. Imagining the past of this wonderful villa is half of the fun. It's a... More

This site is great to visit the gardens, and walk around. Very beautiful. If it is supposed to rain during your trip, bring shoes that can get wet and you wouldn't mind as the coral floor does not absorb the water well and you will be avoiding puddles. Entrance is not pricey, but if you are a student, don't forget... More

Attended many parties here and perfect also for photo shoots. Truly reminds me of some of the chalets/palaces in the Italian lake district.

You begin the journey to this glorious and exuberant past, in the moment you step out of your car. There is a footpath that cuts thru the thick tropical vegetation that surrounds this outstanding house. Inside the house, it is amazing how well preserved everything is. The view of the Vizcaino island is fantastic as well as the European gardens.... More

This is a must see if you are in the area! Beautiful landscaping, architecture, and views! Such an interesting glimpse into glamorous life in the twenties. Make sure you have enough time to read the all the little signs around the estate. The signage and information is just enough to get you interested, but not like reading an essay at... More

Worth the time to visit, seeing both the house and the gardens. The headset is worth the cost for the extra information. Allow at least 2-3 hours to visit. Free parking. Go early before the lines form.

All I can say is... this is one of the most beautiful places I have seen! Not just the garden too, but the mansion, the port amd everything just screams high class and super wealthy. Amazing for weddings, photo shoots, etc
