    Easy in easy out
Getting to and from the port was relatively easy but only because we had a reverse commute. We almost missed the ship due to United Cancelling a flight but luckily we made it. The port was easy to navigate and the boarding terminal was easy to get to and to depart from. We had no issues with Uber getting us to the airport and it was way cheaper and faster than the norwegian tour buses.

    Well organized port
We disembarked from our cruise and found the lines moved quickly and efficiently in the terminal. The port staff had things well organized. Outside, it was easy to get to the taxi area to catch a ride to the airport. Our ride cost much less than what the cruise ship bus shuttle quoted us; plus we didn’t have to wait for 40 other passengers to fill the bus before it could leave. The taxi got us to the airport in less than 20 minutes.

    Parking in Miami Port
We parked here. It was fine. However, we left from one area and came back into another area. We chose not to wait for the shuttle bus. it was steaming hot walking back to our parking area.

    Easy Disembarkation from Cruise Ship
This is where our cruise ship docked on a sunny morning. The views of the city skyline are lovely. The cruise terminal handled the disembarkation smoothly and we were on our way in less than 15 minutes. Short drive into the city or to the freeway.

    Please REWARD EXCELLENCE
I am so very grateful for Mr. Jesse Valdez. He is an admirable young man who went out of his way to make certain that I was safe, comfortable and even fed 🥪! I am very impressed that he took notice of my silent fears and got me to a complimentary ride to the airport. I pray that God and your employer rewards you richly 🙏😊. Kudos Sir.

A descent port, but expect delays due to rude drivers.
We had two cruises leaving Port Miami in December. The first cruise we used parking garage G. The second cruise we used parking garage A. The parking spaces in garage G are smaller/more narrow. And with G, you have to go all the way around. Other people complain about the port. I think it is well designed, but drivers are the problem with all the lane changing and trying to get a car or two ahead by driving through a drop off zone. Garage A seems newer and has much wider spaces and more elevators. Overall, I give this port a 4 of 5.

Use the porters. They are hard working folks. Be sure to tip them well.
On a recent vacation in December, my wife and I had an excellent experience with one of the porters. We were handling not only ours but my in-laws luggage. When I told him how many bags, he didn't blink an eye. He helped me find all of the bags and loaded them onto his hand truck. This man was an artist. Please look at the photo of his loaded hand truck.

Port of Miami is easy to navigate. Two bridges go over to the "island" and roads are well marked. Signage to various cruise lines is also well marked.

The boarding process was well organized and most all things done are digital now. Friendly and courteous staff to assist with boarding and directing guests.

We were informed to arrive at Terminal B on Tuesday November 28th at 10:00am to be able to board by 10:30 for a wedding that was supposed to start at 11:00am. After arriving at Terminal B, we were informed by security that we were at the wrong terminal and had to walk to Terminal C, which was around the garage. Although there were elders with us we walked over. Arriving at Terminal C, we sat awaiting instructions for about 30 minutes. At this time the wedding planner arrived and spoke with the security staff and they informed her that we were again at the wrong location. That we needed to walk all the way around the loading dock, passing the second Terminal C entrance to an employee side entrance. Once again we gathered and collectively walked as a group, elders and mothers to be and all. Finally arriving to the now third entrance, we were met by another security guard that asked us why we were entering through here. We told him we were there for a wedding and were directed this way. He said that we were not allowed to enter and had to turn back. At this point great frustration started to grow within the group. It was a warm morning and we have now been walking for thirty minutes or so. The wedding planner started to speak with him saying this is where we were supposed to enter. Finally after ten minutes of deliberation, we were told that we would be able to enter through here, however the coast guard were running drills and we would have to wait an uncertain amount of time before entering. We were told that we would be able to wait and have a seat inside of the second unused C Terminal which we found was locked.
After waiting another fifteen minutes thinking the worst had past, a group of four security ladies arrived to open the doors. The grooms brother asked the security guard with badge number 101777 for a wheelchair for their grandmother and she responded with a terrible attitude saying it wasn't her responsibility to get wheelchairs for us that we needed to have scheduled that through Norwegian. Her response sparked a response from several of us in the crowd to which her attitude grew and she started yelling at us saying that she didn't have to be there and that they were opening up the Terminal as a favor to us. I want to know how this was a favor when we have been inconvenienced for the past hour and a half walking from one terminal to another then to another and no assistance for our elderly guests nor any refreshments for the mothers in the group that were expecting? At this point there was nothing but yelling between the two groups until we were finally allowed to enter the ship, which at this point is closer to 12pm. So not only did we lose an hour and a half of the wedding and reception, we were not even able to extend due to the ships departure time all while sitting outside being harassed by the rudest people I have ever encountered. Continuing to speak to us when we wanted nothing to do with them. This was absolutely the worst encounter with Port of Miami I have ever experienced and our party better be receiving some sort of compensation for all of the misbehavior and lack of knowledge from your staff.

Port of Miami on 11/19/23 has 6 in bound vehicle lanes compressed to 2. Then back to 6 lanes and again compressed to 2! This included 18 wheel trucks, gas trucks, taxis & autos. It took 2 hours to go the last mile to our ship! Totally unsafe, pandemonium! Avoid Port of Miami. Just an awful experience!
