- PendragonStoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom302 contributionsGreat place, especially for space enthusiastsWe visited with our child (7 and 4), who both enjoyed the day. Although some things were a bit 'too old' for our 4 year, our 7 year enjoyed lots of things within the park. He is very interested in space and asked lots of questions. There were things to do for our 4 year old, he just didn't have the patience and attention span for all of the details and some of the exhibits. They both loved being able to get in a number of the rockets/capsules outside and also some of the items and exhibits with other areas. The both absolutely loved the planet play area and also loved playing in the water fountains on a hot day! We did the 2 day pass and didn't manage to see everything, but did get around most things. Although having 2 smaller children slowed us down a little, you could probably do everything without children or with older children. The bus tour was interesting along with the commentary. The Spaceport ride was good, we did it twice.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 September 2023
- JimW7709Dartford, United Kingdom34 contributionsFascinating insight into NASA & the space programmeA truly amazing arrangement of displays with short movies detailing the space programme from the first man in space, through to the Apollo programme, Space Shuttle, space exploration probes, through to present day and into future manned Mars missions. There is too much to appreciate in one day so you really need the two day ticket. I visited from the UK and attended two days in a row, spending the whole day here on both occasions. Many of the displays are indoors allowing a break from the Florida heat and humidity but be prepared for a reasonable amount of walking outdoors too. The Atlantis building and the bus tour are essential to fully appreciate everything. There is commentary on everying so even those not interested in space exploration would enjoy their day. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to locate, plus plenty of places to eat during your visit.Visited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 24 September 2023
- Claire TEast Grinstead, United Kingdom15 contributionsAwesome experienceWhat an awesome experience! The exhibits were set up extremely well and the displays succeeded in giving maximum effect. Learnt so much. I was very impressed. It was so fascinating and to be able to get up and close to the exhibits was an incredible experience. So much to see and do and take in. A really memorable day.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 27 September 2023
- JDSouiTampa, Florida6,712 contributionsRobust Space History ExperienceEnjoyed the bulk of the day at both the museum enjoying the history, artifacts and narrative history presented in the different areas of the grounds. The buildings are spread out enough to not be on top of others enjoying the sites. Would recommend taking the bus ride to Apollo / Saturn V Center first upon arriving. That museum, a separate review, is amazing! Overall a very good experienceVisited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 October 2023

See the actual launch sites and capsules and space shuttle and equipment from Apollo 11. - Lynn ASunapee, New Hampshire1 contributionKennedy Space Center fun place to go with great tour guides!Explorer bus tour with John from westfield. He was probably the best guide ever, knowledgeable, funny, able to give great answers to all the questions.I ran into him again at Atlantis space shuttle tour. He heard me talking to my friend about my old singer and turned and told me about cloth covering being sewn by people with old singer sewing machines..making it so personal. This made my day special. Highly recommend KSCenter and try to get John from Westfield for a great experience.Thank you, Lynn, for your amazing review! We're thrilled to hear that John provided such a knowledgeable and personalized experience during your bus tour and the Atlantis space shuttle tour. - Sarah FAnkeny, Iowa242 contributionsDefinitely to the behind-the-scenes tourLike other reviewers have said, spend two days here if you can because there is a lot to see/do. We only hit the highlights and were there a full day. If you can, do the KSC Explore tour. You will get to stop and see Launch Pad 39 A and B and the UAB on your way to the Apollo/Saturn V Center. It is almost 2 hours of your day on the tour, but it's really cool to see those locations. There was a lot of history here, but I thought there would be more. It wasn't presented like a lot of museums present historical pieces. Seeing shuttle Atlantis was really cool, along with some of the models of the new space capsules/rockets. A lot of the exhibits were family friendly to get kids interested. Shout out to Charles who was doing the STEM demos the day we visited. He was funny and he had lots of cool experiments. He also had great tips for getting good photos of the Falcon X display and which simulator ride to take.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 October 2023
- CJLFlagstaff, Arizona22 contributionsPro tips for a stress free experience 🚀Pro tips: they take pics of you at every opportunity. Buy the digital package for $45 at the end of the trip! Food was not great. Bring sandwiches. Atlantis ride is not as scary as they say but I watched from the observation deck (no motion) which worked for me. They have wheelchairs and scooters for rent which is good because the campus rivals Disney. Do the bus tour first and pics in spacesuits. Visit during the week. If you want to do the Astronaut experience, book months ahead.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 5 October 2023

I was looking forward to this visit and now wish I had not gone. We paid a lot of money to find they just cram in as many people as possible.
We were one of the first ones in the park but within a half hour it was so crowded you could not hear anything.
The school groups add to the chaos. I do not understand why they cannot set up designated times for school groups, especially when waiting for the bus.
While most of the exhibits were good, it was so crowded that you could barely get to the placards to read them.
And forget about trying to buy something to eat. You will spend as much time trying to get into the cafe and finding a place to sit as you will waiting to get into some of the exhibits. And many of the seating areas for eating were exposed and soaking wet.
I am particularly disappointed in the bus ride. While they have several busses load at the same time, we still had to stand in line for over an hour to get on it.
Also, they are renovating the IMAX and, due to rain, we missed out on the movie they would show outdoors. The admission is high but supposed to include the IMAX. No compensation offered for missing this.
All in all, some parts were good but I would never come here again.

The last time I had been to the Kennedy Space Center was about 25 years ago and it stuck with me then. Since then it has only improved with time. As a family we were blown away! Our kids are not STEM kids but take an interest in educational things like our past and future in space and raved about the place.
First of all the park was super clean and after visiting the theme parks it was quiet in comparison. By far this is one of the best museums I have been to in a long time. We showed up without a plan but surprisingly spent 7 hours at the Kennedy Space Center. I would recommend going on the bus tour that is included in your ticket price first so you don’t miss out on it. When on the bus tour and stopping, take the time to watch the videos/re-enactments at the stop.
If you get hungry throughout your day there are plenty of food options and gift shops at reasonable prices. Show up when the center opens and take your time, you won’t regret it.

I have been to KSC twice before. Once about 40 years ago, and again to watch the last shuttle launch (Atlantis) in 2011. It now costs $57 ($50 for 55+) per person just to walk in, $47 for kids. Also $10 to park. It does include the bus ride past the assembly building, and the IMAX shows. The bus ride is restricted if there are launches scheduled soon (an increasing probability) so you don’t see much, especially if sitting on the wrong side. You used to be able to actually go into the building and really get an idea of how large it is. Now you can take a picture through a bus window while leaning over someone. The bus drops you off at a building with the display of the Saturn V and many other great artifacts. You then catch a ride back to the main entrance where the movies, food, an outdoor display of early rockets, a couple of small buildings with child-oriented displays, and gift shop are. Not all movies are easily available, and the food is typically very expensive, $8-11 for a burger/sandwich or chicken strips (although the pulled pork sandwich was good). Go mid-week and you can take in everything. Overall, it’s not a good value but I gave it 3 stars because I love space stuff.

More of a two day adventure than a single activity. It was very nice to be able to be at the park after closing and to go on the bus tour before the park opened. Sleeping under the rocket was really cool. The tour guides do a good job of keeping things organized as these are almost military style itineraries. There is not 5 minutes of time that hasn't been scheduled from the second you get to the park. They are very accommodating as far as rolling out the red carpet. After released from the troops activities on the second day we were allowed to finally do whatever we wanted for the rest of the day included, which there wasn't much else to see. Seems like we saw it all with the troop. There were experiences that were extra charge and expensive and the prices just weren't reasonable for those. These extra experiences were state of the art but looked like they never got used due to their pricing. I liked my experience overall, however, I would not do it again and at least not any time soon. I personally don't handle authority very well and by the time we had our dinner, I was completely tired of being told where to stand, sit, burp and fart. Dinner was garbage as well as breakfast and I decided to not even eat it. They seemed very stingy in that respect. While the itinerary kept us able to do a lot of activities and it wasn't the tour guides fault as they don't make the schedule; they came off as insensitive jerks in some instances. Maybe they aren't paid very well but after a couple hours of arriving, you start to feel like your not actually wanted there. I'm glad the kids weren't old enough to pick up on these cues but as a parent, I eventually felt like we were imposing. I'm happy for the kids appreciate the staff, they are humans too, but I think the system is broken and there is a disconnect between the youth and their goals versus the experience at kennedy space center. There is room for improvement I guess. Had a decent time but won't be back for a while.

We visited the KSC on Thu Feb 7 2020. My wife and I had a great time exploring the displays, learning more about (and remembering) the history of mans journey into space. I highly recommend purchasing the extra tours on offer, to gain more insight and to experience better viewing of the different areas of the KSC that are not included in the general admission price. Make sure to take in the Apollo 8 launch when doing the Explore Tour. We will be back to experience more of the centre and to partake in all of the optional tours on offer. Best to plan for at least a couple of days if you want to do this.

My family and I visited the Kennedy Space Center recently. We have lived in Florida for over a decade, but for some reason we had not made time to visit the Space Center. We arrived near opening and stayed to almost closing time. We did not have time to see everything, but we were able to see most of the highlights. The Space Center is very visitor friendly. They have restrooms conveniently located throughout the property as well as drinking fountains. There are many tours available above and beyond the normal displays.
They do have restaurants that serve food. However, we brought our own packed lunches. I understand glass bottles, hard-sided coolers, and outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed, but they had no problem with our sandwiches, snacks, and water bottles.
We started the day by taking the bus tour. The bus tour is included in admission and drives out to the Apollo Program exhibit. Our driver was very informative and we were able to see the crawlers that the rockets are transported on from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pads. We also saw the launch pads that have been used for the Apollo moon missions and the Space Shuttle program. It was fascinating. The Apollo and Saturn V rocket display was very interesting. There are some terrific explanatory displays and films. it was great to be able to see so many artifacts from moon rocks to rockets. After touring the Apollo Center we rode the bus back to the main campus of the Visitor's Center. On the bus ride back to the main campus we were able to see native Florida wildlife like alligators and bald eagles.
The main area of the visitor's center has some very interesting exhibits. One of my favorites was the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit. The Space Shuttle is on display with the cargo bay doors opened and the robotic arm extended. It was amazing to be up close to a vehicle that had made dozens of journeys into space. The memorial area for the crews of the Space Shuttles Challenger and Columbia was well done and quite moving.
We also enjoyed walking around the rocket garden and getting a perspective on the development of the various rockets used in the space program.

Only open 10-4 due to Covid, and you must purchase tickets in advance to limit crowd size. We arrived at 10:30 thinking that we could see it all in 4 hours. Last time we were here was in 1998 - it seems much larger now. We stayed until closing time and still didn't see it all. The bus rides to the Vehicle Assembly Building are closed due to Covid. We would have needed two days if that had been open. Social distancing wasn't an issue except on the simulator ride. They only take 50% capacity, but when they load you in the ride they squeeze everyone together and leave the back half empty! Does common sense not exist anymore? Very interesting place to visit - especially for us that grew up in the 60's and were part of the space race. Restaurant on site, good stop for lunch. Will come back.

Too many people and not enough attractions. Should be on a timed basis as we waited 2.5 hours to go on a bus tour that circled a building. Food lines were all crowded with lines outside. Extra activties were all sold out prior to our arrival so we could really only do a few things and even going to see the shuttle was another 3 hour line. The half star was for the omni max theater show on going to mars. That was great but not at over $110 dollars to see a movie, take a bus ride, and play in the kid area. Stay clear if you or your kids have sensory issues, the noise and people are non-stop with no place to sit down and limited outdoor tables to grab a snack. Truly disappointed. Save your money and go to the free Air Museum in Ohio, Great place for all day activity, its free, parking is free, and it doesn't cost $5.00 for a little bag of popcorn.

We visited the Kennedy Space Center on December 27, one of the busiest days of the year. We arrived at opening time and waited about 15 minutes to park; we were told that lines for parking were much longer even an hour later, so get there EARLY! We scheduled an Explore Tour for mid afternoon mainly as a way to avoid the lengthy bus lines that were predicted for the holiday week. This worked well for us, as we were then able to go to the Atlantis exhibit immediately after arriving and avoid those lines too. Lines for the regular bus rides quickly exceeded 2 hours (they were about 45 minutes right away at opening, so if you don't do the Explore Tour, go here first!), while we were able to get right on the bus at our appointed tour time with no wait. While the Explore Tour was convenient for the week we were there, I wouldn't say it was anything really exceptional. We saw the outside of the assembly building, and we did see the launchpads. We were able to get off the bus at 3 locations, but it was raining, so that made it a little less appealing. The ending destination, the Saturn V, is amazing! Lines to get on buses back to the Visitor Center moved very quickly. We were at Kennedy from about 9am to 6pm, We were able to tour the Atlantis exhibit (including the shuttle launch experience, which is cool and not nearly as intense as most theme park rides...don't be afraid to try it!), see an IMAX movie, check out Journey to Mars, do the Explore Tour, and tour the Apollo/Saturn V Center. By that time, we were worn out, and the line for Heroes and Legends was still long enough that we elected to skip it. You definitely need a full day here, especially during busy times. As for food, we packed lunch and walked back out to the parking lot to eat, hoping to avoid an expensive fast-food meal. The down side to that was we had to go through security all over again to get back in, and by that time the lines were LONG!! There was not a very good system for re-entry. Then again, the food lines were long too, so maybe we still came out ahead! Overall, this was an educational, interesting day, but by the end we felt like we had "space overload." It's definitely a great place to visit at least once. Kudos to the staff who were very helpful in trying to accommodate everyone during such a busy week!

I was very excited to see this but ended up really somewhat disappointed with how they have made it into an overpriced theme park. It is very cool to se the rockets, space shuttle and launch pads. But public money paid for most of it. It should be more like a science museum or public tour than an overpriced theme park. The entry fee was very steep - like $100 fir two senior admissions. I can’t even imagine how expensive for a family. The lines were unpleasantly long. The food service was ridiculously inefficient. They need to fix that. The bus tour was just ok (sorry but one launch pad looks just like the next, and of course you need a big building to build rockets and a big vehicle to move the. Dog bites man, big deal.). They should separate a lot of the simulation and game activities so that those who only want history do not have to pay for the rest. I say that as someone who did one of the sims, which was good, but, I would ave been fine without any of them, like a museum. Lastly, I thought a lot of their materials, videos and write ups were too much like NASA propaganda instead of like history and there was too much piped in fake-inspirational hero music piped in anywhere. Everyone recommends going in the morning and doing the bus tour first but if it’s not a really hit time of year I would recommend starting later because the lines quieted down. The rockets and space shuttle were interesting but as a citizen who helped pay for them I should be able to see them in a dignified environment for a fair fee and not have to pay for a glorified theme park, the carnival atmosphere of which diminishes the hard work and sacrifice of our space pioneers.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience. The visitor complex is actually not funded by U.S. tax dollars. Instead it is funded by visitor-generated revenue. This is the business model chosen by NASA for the visitor complex which allows us to maintain and add new exhibits such as the $100 million Space Shuttle Atlantis in 2013 and the $10 million Heroes and Legends in 2016. We hope you'll consider a return visit in the future and apologize for any inconveniences you experienced during your visit.

Hey there!
can someone tell me if you can you spot anything space-related (e.g. space shuttle) from outside without buying a ticket?
We’re staying at Jetty Park Campground on our way from Orlando to Miami, and I was wondering if it’s worth driving by the NASA center just to catch a glimpse of a space ship.
It needn’t be up close; a distant view for a quick snapshot and to show our daughter what a proper spaceship looks like would suffice.
We’re not up for spending the whole day there, but a sneak peek would be fantastic.

Существует закономерность. Чем дальше от Солнца, тем с меньшей скоростью движутся тела в пространстве относительно Солнца. Сколько скорости относительно Солнца потеряли Вояджер-1 и Вояджер-2 с момента последних своих толчков от планет?

I would like to goto see a launch and also go on the bus tour that is an extra price. The launch will allegedly occur between 10am and 12pm so the bus tour is not taking place that day. It is taking place the day before but a notice says that because the launch is the next day not everything will be seen. What items that are part of the paid bus tour do people not see the day before a launch? If someone could go on the paid bus tour and see everything, or go on a different day and not see the launch which would you do? If I see the launch I would go up one day, go on the bus tour, and see the launch the next day.

We have bought tickets “general admission with explore tour” for 12:30pm. Does it mean we can go there already when the Center is opening to see all the attractions and at 12:30pm we will then do the explore tour by bus? Can anyone help us explaining why this time had to be selected when buying the tickets? Thank you!

Yes, you can go in when the center opens with the general admission.
The bus tour leaves at 12:30 so allow yourself some extra time to get over to the bus station part of the park and get through the line to get on the bus. This tour tends to sell out so you probably won't be able to take the tour at a different time.

Ciao, scusa ho visto solo ora. Purtroppo audio guida in italiano non presente, c'era solo una piccola brochure tradotta.
