My husband and I arrived at The Historic Rossetter House Museum and Gardens, planning to take the 11:00am tour. We drove around the House, uncertain if street parking was legal. My fault; I should have researched where to park. We found a small parking lot (if I recall correctly) across the street, near the west side of Rossetter House. By... More

Took the tour with a women's club so there were 10 of us. The tour guide was well informed and weaved a story of 3 families and their impact on Brevard County. The tour included the house and grounds. The bedrooms are up a steep flight of stairs so that might dissuade someone from that portion of the tour. One... More

We were waiting by the entrance to the house for the tour to start, there is only one person and he locked the door to give the previous tour. We were tempted to leave but glad we waited. Our guide, Levi, was informative and knowledgeable about the home and the history of the family. The tour included a visit to... More

Based on multiple good reviews on TA we looked forward to our visit to the Historic Rossetter House and Gardens in Melbourne. We arrived early and waited a half hour for the tour to begin. Unfortunately, there was no introductory video or information that would have filled the waiting time. Despite leading tours several times each day for over a... More

Megan is very knowledgeable about the families involved in this estate and knows a lot of the backstory. I really appreciated Megan taking out the Limoges plate, and letting us see up close all of the family's personal belongings. History made interesting. Very relaxed-paced tour, and a Must Do.

We arrived as they were opening so we were the only ones on the first tour ... Very knowledgeable tour guide and definitely worth the hour or so it takes to tour this gem ... Loved the original furnishings and the history of family. Modestly priced admission makes this a great addition to any vacation schedule.

Beautiful house, with loads of local history and connections. Guides are knowledgeable and fun. An asset to the Eau Gallie arts district.

I had never heard of this place despite driving by it for many years. I was looking for something to do while family was in town. They recommend reservations but they also take walk ins. Reservations are easy as you can email and ask for a tour at a certain time. The tour starts with a general history of the... More

Beautiful home with wonderful tour guides. Nice to find out what Melbourne was like before Florida becoming a huge tourist attraction. Love that the tour guides go over the history of Melbourne and the families that lived in the home. How it was built, the lives of the two sisters that lived in the home until they could no longer... We arrived without calling ahead, which is apparently preferred because the staff is very limited. They are very hospitable, however, and quickly welcomed us. The tour is guided only and narrated from a script; but the story about the families who lived here is very interesting, especially regarding local lumber and oil enterprises.
