After paying $8, those entering the park facilities can fish the two jetties or bridge catwalk, visit a fishing museum, surf, swim, snorkel, beachcomb, utilize picnic pavilions and campsites, take part in ranger-led interpretive programs and in June and July perhaps see nesting loggerhead turtles. A lot of visitors come and stay in RVs, and canoers and kayakers like this... More

Met friends there that were camping. Beautiful place to camp fishnet layout. Inexpensive weekend to have fun with family or friends.

Get there fairly earl on a weekend or have the place nearly to yourselves on weekdays! Do try south of the bridge for more private beaches. If camping prepare for no seeums- they will eat you alive if not careful. All good there for sure!

Large area/state park that is clean and well preserved. The water and the beaches are immaculate and beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed a quite day relaxing there. As an avid fisherman I visit this place often. I also make it a point to bring the family when they visit from the North, the Grandkids love it. Fish or jump in, this is a don't miss spot. Do avoid the jetty though.

The pond area is great for young kids. The water is very clean coming in from the ocean but has none of the ocean hazards of big waves that parents of young children worry about.

This place is a separation of beach on one side and inlet waters on the other. Fishermen line the wharf and swimmers/beach goers line the nicely defined beach side. The waves although kind of small for surfing do not curtail the fun for the folks enjoying them.

The inlet is calm, full of sea life, shallow enough for my four year old to play in pretty much the entire area. This place is awesome!
