My husband and I have always loved our annual visit to Matlacha and the Lovegrove Gallery. Leoma Lovegrove's artwork is beautiful and colorful and reminiscent of Impressionism. We have bought many pieces, and still enjoy them. Also, the exterior of the small art gallery is...More

Wow! What a fun place to visit. We saw Leoma Lovegrove's work in a small gallery on Sanibel Island and found out she had her own place in Matlacha. We had to drive over. Such a wonderful experience. Both the gallery and the garden are...More

One of the best things we did last week was take the time to visit Leoma Lovegrove's gallery in Matlacha! This place was filled with color and just made me feel happy as soon as we entered. I loved seeing the inside and outside, including...More

I used to take everyone that visited us to this gallery. It was fun, lively, imaginative, and you could get a little piece of art for a reasonable price. Then the presidential election happened and oh my, how it's changed! Now you walk in and...More

This is a beautiful gallery. If you are a fan of Leoma Lovegrove you must visit her gallery. There is an outdoor space as well with many different art and craft events going on.

Somehow I can't wrap my head around John Lennon's poetry and imagery being displayed in an ardently Trump supporting gallery! He would not be happy!

Have seen her clothes and thought the gallery would be interesting. However, walking into blatant Trump politics with art pieces having John Lennon's words of piece seemed hypocritical to me. Couldn't understand it and see no need for politics to be involved. Won't ever buy...More

Go to their web site and see when the classes are taking place and how to register. If that doesn't help - phone them.

Dear Smcclendon, We apologize to you and others who have come to see our gardens behind the gallery and found them closed. During the summer months we are short staffed and use the summer months to renovate the gallery and gardens. From June through October we are open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Starting November 1st we are open daily except for Christmas and Easter. This summer’s renovations include repaving our garden paths to make the walking areas slip resistant when they are wet from the rains (especially in the summer). When the project is complete we will be able to open the gardens during the summer months without fear of customers accidentally slipping on wet pavement. We are also installing a much needed irrigatiaon system and that will take a month to complete. We are making these extensive renovations so we can open the gardens during the summer months. To those who felt shunned by my husband, Mike when he let some Beatle’s fans into the gardens and then didn’t let them in - it was a bad judgement call on his part. He wanted me to share that with you. Those particular Beatles fans were only allowed in one area to take the photo. They did not have free access to the entire gardens. We are working to make sure everybody is aware of our summer hours and that the gardens are under heavy renovations. Again, we apologize and hope to make it up to you on your next visit to our little island of Matlacha.
