Our family of 5 - grandparents, parents and 7 year old granddaughter all enjoyed this 2 hour excursion. It was fun to learn the history of Cape Romano, the 10,000 islands and then spend 60 minutes shelling on a private island. Capt. Andrew was a...More

Must see! Look up articles about the dome home before you go and you'll be amazed that this house was so beautiful in years past. The history is truly amazing. Mother Nature can cause havoc.

These domes are not as old as they may look. Built in 1982 they are very interesting to see up close and to learn more about their history online. It really is an unusual home site to see first hand that is being taken over...More

Quite an interesting site. Did some research and saw how amazing this construction was in its' day. Mother nature takes what she wants.

Rent jetskis on the beach and take the guided tour. You will definitely see the Cape Romano ruins and run into some playful dolphins. well worth the cost of the jetski

Boated around Cape Romano, passing by these structures. An artist told me this had once been a private home, off the grid, and ultimately abandoned by it's owner. It looks odd and unattractive!

We took a dolphin cruise and part of the cruise entailed stopping by Cape Romano. This is a previous home site that is now within the water and uninhabitable. In looking at what the structure looked like in its prime, it is really interesting to...More

We had rented a boat and found our way to Cape Romano. It is such an interesting place. The pod houses provide a good fishing spot and the island is full of surprises.
