Not much to share, as the condos are 1,000 ft from shore. Beach has eroded since I last visited 15 years ago. it is an interesting attraction, and worth seeing if you are near the area.

What a wonderful trip to Cape Romano via Green Water Boat Tours. We were able to get up close and see this amazing and futuristic looking house that has been claimed by nature by a couple strong tropical storms/hurricanes. What used to be several hundred...More

A group of run down huts on stilts, that's it. You can't go inside or walk around or use the beach; therefore no big deal.

Once you get to Cape Romano Island, you could walk/swim out to the houses (the water is not deep), but you do have to get to the island in the first place.

I believe you can go in your own boat because they do shelling tours and there are people on the islands all the time
