Only 2 beaches have public access with all day $8 parking fee and you cannot walk on free unless you are staying close by. There is no street parking and lots available charge the same.

Marco Island is the most unwelcoming place on the west coast. Just gates and ”keep out” and ”no trespassing” signs. All other cities on the west coast welcome visitors and offer lots of beach access. Marco has sold out to real estate developers.

This beach is one of the nicer beaches in the area. Mostly the locals come here and not the tourists which is good.

We are at the restaurant here as guests of friends. I had the chicken and Brie with avocado sandwich and my wife had the fish tacos. My wife said that the fish tacos were the best she had with large chunks mahi mahi in them. The sweet potato fries are great too!

my favorite place to go for a walk. Soon there is nobody around and you have the beach to yourself. You even can go for a swim without your trunks! Return walk almost two hours. Weekends a few more people during the week or when slightly overcast, it is yours. Lots of shells and bird life.

This beach is very secluded and requires you walk a long way from the parking area. The beach is very nice, but do not go unless you are willing to walk a long way.

Even with an invitation, because we don't life here we were looked at as lower class and not aloud in the bar area. Having said that the food was good and our waitress was friendly and very efficient.
Next time we are 'invited' I think I'll be busy.

This is a private area; a huge private keep out sign is at the entrance to this area, people who own property along the public beach think they own everything.
When it comes to refurbishing anything, NOW everyone should pay for it.
Nice long walk along the beach heading towards Sand Dollar Island. Nice shells and sand dollars especially on low tide or after a storm.

North of Tigertail Beach this is best experienced by boat, if you have one. The shelling is wonderful, and it's easy to land your boat safely on the south side of the tip. Get out you beach chair and a beer and spend the day.

We loved finding several unique shells and watching the boats from this beautiful beach. We did not go into the water from our location as it looked like it dropped off quickly. There are not many people on this beach which made us feel like it was our own private beach.

Hideaway Beach is a public beach with public toilets. They receive federal, county and local? funds to restore (adding sand) the public beach. If it was a private beach then they couldn't get the funds.
So I don't understand people saying it is a private beach.
You can walk to it from Tigertail close to the lagoon.
Why do you say it is private?

The City of Marco Island website lists all the beach accesses ... but TA doesn't allow me to copy and paste it here ....so
Go to the City of Marco Website and search "beach access map"
Tigertail Beach Public Beach access is displayed .. it is Number 2
