It feels like your own tropical island-unless you get there mid day and the crowd has arrived. But only boaters can enjoy. Be aware that the water off the stern of your boat is VERY deep in spots so make sure kids, or non swimmers...More

Great beach. LOTS of sea shells. We didn't pull the boat on the side where the food boats were- way too populated. Dropped anchor from the gulf side where it is much more secluded. Saw two stingrays swim by!

Keewaydin was beautiful! We used Hemmingway water shuttle and they were wonderful! We saw dolphins, stingray, and some HUGE fish on the way to the island. I'm guessing it was a more quiet time of year to visit? The beach was peaceful and the shells...More

They were very friendly, went out of their way for us to see dolphins, and knowledgeable about the area/wildlife. Highly recommend this service. Good people.

If you don't mind crowds of drunk people moored next to you, then this may be the place for you. But, to share a fun filled afternoon with your family this is NOT the place. Boats all over.

Small nice looking island and waterway. Good luck finding a spot to pull your boat into, especially during Snowflake season. With 10,000 island why go here when there are so many private one. Although this is one is with in eyesight of Marco.

What is the cost for family of 6?

The island is free to the public. You need to go by boat to get there. We rented a boat for 4 hours and it was about $250. Rates may be down now that the high season is over.
Hi, Ann. What would you like to know about this attraction? We will be on Marco after Easter. Are there food boats after the Easter holiday?

It was crazy busy there yesterday with 100s of boats, and we counted 6 pontoon catering floating snack bar boats Not sure what will happen next week, as the season is winding down and people are leaving.
If taking the shuttle, do you bring your chairs and umbrella with you ?

Yes we took our chairs and umbrella but we also rented a couple of chairs from Hemingway water shuttle too. They have the option for rental on their reservation page.
