- Kristen PMichigan74 contributionsFun times as alwaysVery fun place to go and hang out for the day. It's only reachable by boat though. Becomes super crowded during the busy season though. Lots of families and singles there enjoying the sunshine. They also have ice cream and food boats but only on certain days of the week/season, I think.Visited December 2022Written 12 February 2023
- Rachel M5 contributionsrelaxingBeautiful sand beautiful water, plenty of sea shells. Been to the Island twice and booked my third trip before I left the second one. Plenty of space on the beach, you don't have to be on top of each other. Great for shelling or just relaxing with a good book.Visited March 2023Written 13 March 2023

Amazing shelling, plenty of room to spread out, plenty of beaches to walk and enjoy. Take the Hemingway Shuttle for an optimum visit.Visited April 2023Written 3 May 2023
- Sandra G1 contributionSand Dollar Shelling Never Disappoints!I have been shelling before with Sand Dollar Shelling, but never on Keewaydin Island before this trip. There was a huge expanse of wide open beach with tons of shells. Captain Paul was a wonderful captain and host, and I would highly recommend Sand Dollar Shelling. Make sure you book a trip where Captain Paul is running the trip!Visited August 2023Written 23 August 2023

Rented a boat to go to Keewaydin with our family. It was absolutely breathtaking. Felt like we were on a private island. Water is amazing. Highly recommend!

We love bringing friends and family to this private beach island. It's so relaxing and usually has a couple of food trucks and of course Julie's Ice Cream Pontoon. My husband enjoys bringing his small BBQ and grills chicken and hot dogs.

My husband & I FINALLY found a horseshoe conch! We have been looking for one for 3 years! It was a big surprise! My big advice is to watch out for your feet, they will possibly get cut on some of the shells. Be sure to wear water shoes.

We've been to Keewaydin Island many times over the years, and it's one of my favorite places to take the boat on Marco. So many great memories with my parents, kids, and my aunt and uncle. Great shelling, beach, and views. Such a beautiful, relaxing place to spend time.

Took the "Water Taxi" out & back. Very nice & relaxing trip & time on the island. The only way to go, bring your own goodies & relax. Leave the " driving " to them

Fantastic sea shell finding and day drinking experience. Found an intact sand dollar and multiple conk shells. People are very welcoming and floating down the inlet during high tide is a blast.

No restrooms but a boat you can buy food/drinks? Make a day of it?? What are you supposed to do for a restroom??

No food or drinks available to buy on the boat. Nor, are there any places to buy food/drinks on the island. Bring your own. Same with restrooms. Go before you leave.

Are the food boats there daily during spring break time (first week in April?) All day? We plan to go the first week in April during a weekday around 3 will it be too busy to find a spot with our boat to dock?

Hemingway Water Shuttle offers shuttle services taking you to and from Rose Marina on Marco Island. They were very helpful and even rented chairs for the beach.

Not sure if anything cheaper than the Keewayden shuttle, I do attractions by service and rated, not by price. They were amazing couple
If we book a trip from 11am until 2pm. Would we be able to stay and take the 4pm return trip if we wanted to stay longer?

You would need to work directly with your tour provider - I only see local boats parked here - private boats and we come and go as we wish. It's low key and most people have left at 4 (in the winter time) because of sunset timing and need to get back to dock prior to nightfall.
