Friends invited us here, what a tranquil getaway from the rat race of Orlando. We were not only treated to free admission but we also were treated to lunch before spending 2 lovely hours in the Gardens. This was the estate of Edward Bok one of America's wealthiest industrialists. The tower itself was no less than spectacular. The moat surrounding... More

We had no expectations but this was well worth the trip. Although it was early in the season many varieties of flowers were in bloom as we took a leisurely stroll up to the Bok Tower. The tower itself was amazing with 60 bells that are played daily for the visitors enjoyment.

Bok Tower is a great treasure for Central Florida. It was built by Edward Bok (editor of the Ladies Home Journal for over 30 years) on one of the highest spots in Florida. The Tower has a 60 bell carillon that can be heard all over the property. The day we were there the current musical artist is residence was... More

A large garden with a carrillian bell tower which plays on a regular basis. If your English, as I am, the bell concerts are a novelty: as carrilian bells are long gone in England, so it's worth a listen. The gardens are quite large and full of camellias and other acid loving shrubs but nowhere as beautiful as the great... More

We took back roads to get to the gardens from the North. Keep calm, walk slowly and take in the experience. There are many different natural scenes to enjoy. The tower. It's history and the carrlion bells are wonderful to see and here. New children's garden will keep the little ones busy and out of trouble. Have a great time.

We really enjoyed our self guided tour at Bok Tower Gardens. They provide maps and it is very well marked. It was very peaceful here. The tower was something to see even though you are not allowed inside. We ate lunch in the cafe on the premises. It was tasty. They also have a gift shop.

This is a gorgeous place. But I was very disappointed you can not tour the inside. There were pictures of the interior in my tour book, but it failed to mention you are not allowed inside. I was told it does not meet safety requirements because it only has a 2 person elevator and only one entrance/exit. Also certain days... More

The Singing Tower was built in 1929 to be a true bell tower and house the carillon. The structure was not built for public visitation. We offer Founders Room tours for our sustainer members and the public can cross the moat to get a closer look at the Great Brass Door during our Founder's Day Weekend Celebration in February. More

Bok Tower Gardens has been at the heart of Lake Wales since it opened in 1929. Featuring a carillon of 60 bells in the namesake tower, and surrounded by beautiful serene gardens and water features designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. - this is a delightful place to unwind, stroll the well maintained walkways and enjoy the varieties...
