A visit to this quaint, quiet park will tansport you back to a time where all you see is lake, marsh, and Oak trees. There is a nature walk which was ot open when we were there, but the history that lives here is dipicted in art and explained in detail. It's a great place to visit, and it's free.

History here but mounds are small and walkways unusable. Have to walk through slightly wooded section to see mounds. They have Sugar Cane Festival in February. They crush sugar cane and you can taste real sugar cane juice. Local firemen cook chickens and pork chops. Really good. Vendors with local honey and other vendors. Entertainment so bring chairs. They have drawings for prizes.
