- Andi2347Orlando, Florida3 contributionsEntertaining experience for the familyWe went on Christmas day for dinner. The show was very good and we loved seeing the performance. So glad that it didn't smell like horse! The storyline of the show was a bit difficult to follow since the "queen" had such a thick Hispanic accent. The other people who spoke were fine but no one in our party could understand the queen (and we are around many Hispanics day-to-day and don't usually have issues understanding). We did purchase the Royalty upgraded VIP seats but I'm not sure it was worth it since I guess almost everyone has VIP seats. There are 3 sections on each side of the arena and we were in a side section towards the middle. I thought for sure that our seats would be better since we made sure to get there early and were the 3rd family to check in at the VIP window. There was no "priority seating access" and everyone had cheering banner so I'm not sure what those are supposed to mean on the website. As far as the meal goes, it was better than I expected. Chicken was moist and they gave to-go bags for all the leftovers. With regards to going on Christmas day, I feel like they went out of the way to not to acknowledge that it was Christmas day. The guests were friendly and wishing others a Merry Christmas but it was almost like the people working were warned not to say anything. Like saying Merry Christmas to a server when we were leaving and they looked around and then whispered Merry Christmas back. Like they could get in trouble if they were overheard. What I thought was hysterical about that situation was that Christmases were highly celebrated in Medieval castles so acknowledging the day would have actually been in keeping with the authenticity of the show.HUZZAH! We are glad your family enjoyed the dinner and show! - Chad Vargas1 contributionNeeds a reboot!Great castle decor and fun grand ballroom like atmosphere. Wait staff and castle personnel are all friendly and helpful. Food is not very good unfortunately. Ticket price is high already, but if they need to raise it to get better food, then make it happen. Food experience is similar to a Catholic chicken bake booth at the county fair. Starter soup taste like SpagettiO’s sauce. Chicken is cooked perfect, but not exciting. Corn on the cob and potato wedge are over cooked and the same flavor as the chicken. Chocolate eclair desert is pretty good. Overall, the family came out of the experience fairly satisfied but still hungry. My kids hated the food.Thank you so much for your review, Chad! - crschwabRed Deer, Canada85 contributionsA fun dinner and showArrived early to get a good parking spot. Paid a little extra for a VIP status but this didn't seem to do anything special as most people had the same status so not sure if even special seating applied. The show was entertaining and the food tasted great. Services was great during the show, very friendly and engaging.Thank you for visiting, Your Grace! Very entertaining and good energy from the crowd! Good age diversity in attendance—good for families, couples, etc.!Hello Your Grace, we are thrilled to hear you enjoyed the tournament! Thank you for celebrating with us! - oreosmom3193 contributionsSo soSo so.... its a somewhat good show. . I can't speak for every person but my experience is some of the players are really into it and others are are just "there". It was a "bucket" list experience. We paid extra for the name read out thing. It was our anniversary, so a special night. We got cake at dinner. Ok for the food.. we got half a freaking dry seasoned chicken, one potato wedge, a roll. A tomato bisque soup. Now, I normally, don't like anything tomato. But this soup was good. The potato wedge was good. No silverware... if you're raised with manners this is an issue. I tried I really did. .. but the chicken went home to the dog. An eclair for dessert. The special extra dessert was (our anniversary 10th) an piece of sheet cake that tasted like it had been in the fridge for several days(a little dry but still sweet). I had one bite.. the waiter asked why I didn't eat anymore. I just looked at him. He said I know.. the drinks.. ok I had an alcoholic drink and my husband had a soda. (Remember that) we got the "medieval times" cups.. $50. Later they said i could have a refill for $5. Whaaa?? It was good to knock a bucket list item off.. not a repeat, atleast for me.Thank you so much for your review! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. - Family-Guy1970Chepstow, United Kingdom8 contributionsPushy food servers demand tipsThe reason I gave this a poor rating was down to the rude and pushy food server (wouldn’t call him a waiter, he wasn’t that good) who stood in front of us and demanded we give him a tip, his name was Valentino or something like that and even when I did tip him he just shook his head and said “that’s not nice”. The show was still going on but he stood in front of us blocking our view until we tipped him. We won’t be going back and won’t be recommending it either.Thank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about this issue. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that standard was not met in your interaction with us. We hope we can welcome you back to the Castle again soon. - Paul W1 contributionLovely horses and stunts. The horsemanship was excellent and the stunts/fight scenes were also good. We couldn't hear what the characters were saying so couldn't fully engage with the show. Food was good, service was great and the attentive. We booked the package that included a photo, unfortunately the photo which was used was with the youngest not smiling so is not a great picture, the photographer could have said let me take another.Thank you so much for your review, Paul! - Natasha MWarrensburg, Missouri96 contributionsFun and interactiveWe went with our 11 and 14 year old. They loved it. The food was pretty good, some of the best corn on the cob I’ve ever had. It is interactive and my kids loved cheering for their knight, which was made even better when our knight won. My only issue is it was extremely difficult to understand what any of the characters were saying. I’m not sure if it was too loud or just poor mic/speaker system, but we couldn’t really follow along because everything sounded a bit muffled.Thank you for visiting, Your Grace! - Jaime B1 contributionBoring for adultsMaybe it's different for families with kids. I found this to be not worth the money. The food was ok - not great, not terrible. I expected more of a show, particularly with the horses. It was a lot of talking, bad acting, and aside from some short moments, overall boring. I did get a beer and a frozen drink. Those were good. The workers were pleasant. I will not go again. We're sorry for the disappointment you experienced during this visit. Something I've wanted to do for many, many years ~ we finally experienced Medieval Times in Kissimmee, FL. The show, dinner, and service exceeded our expectations and we had a fun, hilarious, and raucous time- and we don't drink alcohol! 😉 Can't wait to go again some day.

The show itself was amazing in terms of the story, the horses and the 'knights'. The food was really tasty (even though you had to eat it with your hands!) and the service was also brilliant.

The show and food itself was good, however our service was horrible. Our family attended as a party of 9. Not only did our server have the personality of a brick wall, but 2 family members had to drink from someone else's drink because he did not give them re-fills. Not to mention he only gave us limited drink choices and then we found out later that other choices were available on our on. Then at the end of the show, even with the horrible service he provided, we still tipped him over $30 because he made it a point to give us a gratuity card and pretty much demanded that we give him $10 per person in our party. That's $90 for horrible service and no personality. When he received the tip we gave him, he stood there and instead of saying thank you, he asked who all the tip "covered". When one member of our party refused his demanded tip, he harassed her 3 different times requesting his tip . He even followed her down the walkway asking her if she was going to tip him. I have NO problem tipping a server when they deserve it and I normally tip generously but this was too much.

DO NOT GO AS PARTY OF 2
My wife and I attended. As a 2 person group. We sat down in some decent seats in blue table. As a party of 2 the server moved us to the far end of table 4. The new seating location but us in front of stairs at the butt end of the arena.
Asked server to talk to management but he was too busy serving. Had to walkout and search for manager. Box office did refund our money.

Is there vegetarian food for kids?
Catfish

The meal is served "medieval style", which means all the food is eaten by hand (no knives, forks or spoons). They serve soup or broth in a cup with a handle, and you get bread. it's my understanding (although I didn't order it), that they have dietary options, and I would think an inquiry at whichever location you are considering would be able to guide you on the dietary selections you need. The kids would love the horses, so I hope you can find the right combination to take them. Good luck, and God Bless. Catfish.
Is the stadium handicap accessible or do you need to request special seating?
Also is the dungeon museum accessible?

Can anyone answer questions about seating for a handicap 11 year old? Do you sit in chairs or on a bench? The child would need extra space as she tends to grab others food. How many people are at a table?

I would definitely contact the venue first and get the name of the manager you make the prearrangements with. You sit in chairs at a bench next to others. Scalding hot soup served in bowls with handles would scare me just as the idea of having a toddler sit on my lap did for the same reason. Once they realized my concerns, the manager was very quick to address them so all the kids could see the show, the floor staff were not as equipped or empowered to make that happen.

Yes I believe so. Personal preference but nothing like being right in the action. Either way it is an amazing experience
