The Eco-Discovery Center features more than 6,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, which interpret the resources and management efforts of Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, two national parks, and four national wildlife refuges. Check out the exhibit on Aquarius, the world's only underwater ocean laboratory, the Living Reef exhibit, which includes a 2,500-gallon reef tank with living corals and tropical fish, the live Reef Cam, and other displays that highlight the coral reef environment. The Center is located in NOAA’s Dr. Nancy Foster Florida Keys Environmental Complex on the Truman Annex waterfront in Key West. Admission is always free (and so is parking), so be sure to stop by for a visit!

We were treated to a mini-marine "science camp" at our resort today. Two wonderful young men from the Eco Discovery center came with a 45-minute presentation. Anthony Salazar was so well-educated and well-spoken on marine life. It was informative and very interesting! He should be a teacher! Kids would love him! Thank you, Anthony and Chris!

We stopped in to the Discovery Center one afternoon just to pass some time and it turned out to be so much more. There really is a whole lot more to learn about the Keys than food, bars, beaches and bands. By all means if you find the time among all the myriad things to do in Key West, stop... More

A very well done series of interactive exhibits of sea life and estuaries in the Florida keys. Includes an aquarium, many life like displays, a wonderful movie, sea lab section, and a nice gift shop. All this is free with free parking and it's air conditioned.

You get to watch a 20 minute film especialy made for the centre. The centre is all about the keys, history of them and what we can do to protect them etc. Very interesting and with a small acquarium. Worth a visit.

The Eco-Discovery Center was a nice surprise. It is a very nice building. The 20 minute movie is a must see while visiting the center. It was important to us to have our daughters learn about the natural beauty of the keys, the diversity of the wildlife and the delicate balance between preserving what make the keys so special and... One of the best things to see in Key West and it is free! Of course it is appropriate to give a donation to further the environmental cause. This is especially good for children due to the educational aspect. there is much to learn from a visit to this building. It is a first class attraction run by the Florida... More

We loved the event that they were having there that day! The Eco Center is very cool to see! My husband is a Biology teach and found the exhibit very interesting.

It's a nice educational center, and so wonderful that it's free for the whole family. We were fortunate to go on the day of the Ocean Festival. It was a wonderful festival promoting preservation of the natural wonders that make the Keys so special. The booths were all so informative and staffed by friendly people. The touch tanks were so...
