This should be the number one thing for people to do in Key West. Absolutely breath taking. Even with a strong current once you get down on the wreck you can really start adventuring. It is easy to penetrate with little training. You can swim through some of the doors into the rooms and see the air pooling on the... More

Great wreck, easy to penetrate in group setting without needing training (lines/reels) as it is made for divers, so almost always open (like cavern) with day-light and no entanglements. True beauty not easy to see without big bright lights as the corals when lit up are amazing colours. A 'friendly' huge... More

Spectacular dive on the Vandeberg. We had 80' visibility during our dive. I can't wait to dive this again.

I've heard others say this wreck is ehh due to lack of marine life. While it is true the Vandy hasn't been down long enough to be covered in coral and sealife, penetrating the wreck and the swim-throughs are way cool!!! Come back in another 10 years for more marine life...

We did 3 dives on this wreck to properly cover outside and inside. I would recommend a min of 2-3dives to say you dived it!! Would recommend Advanced level and to dive with Captain's corner dive centre a Professional company.

The Vandenberg which has a history dating back to its days as a transport ship during WW II as well as during the Viet Nam conflict, in addition to being important to the USA as a satellite tracking ship during the Cold War, and then being the set for the movie "Virus," is an exciting dive a few miles out... I went out with Captain’s Corner for a double-dip on the Vandenberg the first week of January, and couldn’t have been more pleased with this fantastic dive that featured 80-foot visibility and an amazing 10-foot Hammerhead Shark swimming on the surface around our boat. This was my first outing with Captain’s Corner and first dive on the Vandenberg. There was... More
