Best place to go to watch the sunset. Also a great place to go to hang on the beach and relax. The fort is very interesting, a must visit.
Ft. Zachary is a wonderful spot to spend the day or just a few hours. There are picnic tables and grills and plenty of shade or sun. There is a tour of the fort or you can explore on your own.
