This fort is a self guided tour with lots of posted written history/explanations along the way. You can climb to the top and the views are awesome. Very inexpensive and stay for the sunset which is one of the must do spots in Key West....More

Best place to go to watch the sunset. Also a great place to go to hang on the beach and relax. The fort is very interesting, a must visit.

Ft. Zachary is a wonderful spot to spend the day or just a few hours. There are picnic tables and grills and plenty of shade or sun. There is a tour of the fort or you can explore on your own.

The history of the Civil War base is pretty neat. The beach, however, is very rocky and tough to enjoy without water shoes. I was told the sunsets are great there but we didn't go back.

It is off the beaten track, but it's worth the visit. It is an opportunity to see how was the fort, the guns and the cannon bullets. It is amazing to imagine the distance and the necessary force to the bullets hit the enemies. There...More

Best beach in Key West! Definitely visit Fort Zachary if you are in the keys. Stunning views!!!! Our family had a blast just hanging on the beach and taking in the sun.

Maybe because I've been to beaches in Puerto Rico but this beach and park is okay. The water in the center where the umbrellas are is real rocky and stoney. I couldn't just stand in the water and knocked my feet and legs around a...More

Yes, you can see fish, but not as many as on the snorkeling tours. But for the inexpensive price, there are a good number of fish to be seen.

Sorry, can't help you, but I too enjoyed those lovely trees at Fort Zachery. I'm hoping that lots of places in the Keys come through with out great harm.
