Most People go to this park for the beach. It does cost $6.00 to enter, at least. The beach is rocky but nicer than most.

Visited Fort Zachary to witness one of the best sunsets Key West has to offer. We were definitely not disappointed in the slightest! There were many boats on the water waiting to see the amazing sunset off the water. Words do not do it justice...More

If you are used to Florida's white powder sand gulf coast beaches you will be disappointed in Key West beaches. The beach at Fort Taylor was the nicest one we found. It did have lots of rocks and gravel and if your feet are sensitive...More

The fort is rather boring (and our family LIKES history and forts) since there isn't much to see besides the architecture. There were very few displays but there is signage that describes the history (rather lengthy). The beach is very rocky (wear water shoes) but...More

Even though this wasn't what I expected we still had a lovely day. I knew from reviews that there is no "normal" beach, meaning, the powder soft sand beach is NOT what you will find here. Make sure you get and wear water shoes!!! That...More

We went for swimming at the beach. This beach is ok no bad but supposedly it's the best in Key West. The sand can get rough due to the shells and the tree droppings. I do love the beach or its wildlife"fish" and shade that...More

If you're not going to Ft Jefferson on the ferry this fort is a smaller version. We took the ranger tour that was very informative. Also visited the beach that was nice.

Went to the beach here & were able to rent beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling equipment, kayaks. Good café near the beach. Snorkeling was great ... a lot of fish!

Spent a hot summer morning here at the beach. It was absolutely beautiful ! Thanks to the reviews we had our water shoes and had no issues with the rocks. The concessions were good with a lot of variety. We also took a quick walk...More

Sorry, can't help you, but I too enjoyed those lovely trees at Fort Zachery. I'm hoping that lots of places in the Keys come through with out great harm.

Yes lots of parking, but really filled up quickly on the Saturday we were there. A different perspective on the actual fort - you need to take a few minutes to explore the fort. Worth the time. Have fun!
