We spent a day here and it is one of the nicest beaches in Key West. There is a cafe, toilets and a small gift shop. There is good snorkelling too. You can also have a walk around the park. You get charged for parking a car and the number of passengers that you have - but it is not... More

We went to the beach once, must wear beach shoes (we forgot in condo) as it is very rocky. There is a snack bar and you can rent chairs/recliners. Went 3 days for the power boat races. You can't see the start/finish line as you can in Mallory Square, but less crowded and can see much more of the course.... More

We always make a point to come here and experience a real Key West Beach. So much to explore and so much to do!

I walked there for the history of the fort, but stayed for the lovely beach (wear water shoes!!) and the nature trails. The views are lovely. I didn't utilize the restaurant or the restrooms, but they looked really nice.

Went for the sunset view and we were not disappointed. Also great views of charter boats coming and going. The park closed though right at sunset so did not get t stay as long as would have like to.

Skip the cruise crowd at Mallory Square and head to the park to catch the sunset! It cost a little to get in, but so pretty!! Also, pay once and come back as many times as you want in that day. Great little beach with a concession shack too. Well worth it.

As a piece of history / building the fort is very disappointing ( particularly if you have walked some distance through hot streets, tatty industrial area and military fencing!). Very poor attempt at any interpretation of site -it has potential but it gives the impression that is has almost been abandoned ( some areas are propped up) - not even... More

The beach at this park has nice shaded areas with picnic tales so you can get out of the sun. The beach itself is quite beautiful with a rocky landscape that you don't often see in the Keys. The water is shallow (as it is on most beaches in the Keys) and you do need wet shoes. It was a... More

Bottom line, most beaches on Key West are not that great, but Ft. Zach was the exception... Just bring some water shoes... Nice facilities, cafe, snorkel and chair/umbrella rentals... clean clear colorful water with some nice marine life around the rock formations not that far out... great views of all the boats going in/out of the harbor including, if your... Great history to the place but a long walk in through ugly industrial area, being a state park it cost $2.50 for a pedestrian and it goes up from there which i never mind paying as it goes to keeping state parks. However we just wanted to go for a swim from town to cool off and the beach is... More
