The fort was great to visit. There were great views from the top of the fort as well as the amazing history. The beach has bathrooms, outdoor area to shower off and a concessions stand. When we went we really hoped to snorkel but the...More

I called early to ask if there were benches, "pit stops" along the tour for the grandparents. They actually adjusted the tour to accommodate their needs. Nobody noticed. Nobody missed a thing. THANK YOU

Yes, plenty of parking, but be aware there is an entrance fee, although fee is good for all day.

Did you walk to the fort from the cruise port? We are going in May and I was wondering what is the best way to get to the fort/beach from the cruise port. I will have my son and elderly mom with me. Neither will be able to walk it if it's too far. Thanks in advance.

We are here for a month so did not walk from the cruise dock. It is walkable from there but I might suggest in your situation to consider riding on the Trolley tour which does make a stop at the gate of the State Park. In... More
I have been to this fantastic park many times and especially enjoy sitting under the pines. One of the reviewers above said that they said to bring a " paddle board and snorkel the clear grass flats" Where are the clear grass flats at Zach Taylor. I've walked the beach and have yet to see that. Any answers?
