This place is more than just looking at things in a museum. We learned a lot from the exhibits here, but also enjoyed the actors and climbing the tower. It was the perfect size that it took just the right amount of time- not an overwhelming amount of stuff but yet didn't leave you saying "that's it?"

A fun introduction gets you up to speed on key wests past as a wrecking town. Three stories of artifacts and salvaged treasures take you back in time to a different way of life. Informative videos and friendly staff are there for questions. An added bonus is access to a viewing tower that offers spectacular views of key west. Well... More

To get a good understanding of why Key West was once the wealthiest city in the US, I would recommend doing this short tour and presentation. The "cast members" do a good job of taking you back to the days when ship wreck salvaging was the major activity and source of income in Key West. Don't miss climbing to the... More

While the museum had an adequate collection of artifacts, the tour guide was just "mailing-in" his performance. He almost mumbled as he spoke his lines too quickly and softly and without any enthusiasm. He was terrible.

Interesting tour with some artifacts, but not as much as you would think. The view from the top was the best part. The kids enjoyed it, but I would only do once.

We had visited the museum several years ago and there are a lot of interesting things to see, but if you take the Ghosts and Gravestones tour, you visit here at night and it is an entirely different experience. What fun. Either day or night there is a lot of history here.

Good to learn about the history of the island and the impact shipwrecks have had on the local economy. It also gives some of the background of the builders of some of the stores, houses and bars/restaurants.

This attraction was just that an attraction. Yes it did have some artifacts found from ship wrecks but I guess for what I was looking for it really wasn't worth the ticket fee. The people running the attraction were basically just actors taught what to say and show. I was hoping to find more information on the wrecks within the... More

This was interesting. Your guide tells you about pirates and their efferts to salvage what they can. A climb to the top of the building to see all of Key West is a must do.

They start with a narrative overview of the shipwreckers and the business. A bit tricked up but informative. Two great plusses were the tower and the great views, but also the movie in the basement was informative
