In 2012 the iconic boat the African Queen was restored for her 100 year centennial celebration. In May 2012 she once again began plying the waters of Key Largo and currently offers canal and dinner cruises. We go out daily at 10am, 12am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. On Fridays and Saturdays at 6pm we offer a dinner cruise to the Pilot House Marina where passengers disembark and enjoy dinner in the restaurant before boarding the vessel once again to return to the Marina Del Mar. Dinner and lunch cruises are also available on request for groups of at least 4 people.

For anyone who loved the movie, this is a treat. Great history of the boat and the movie (and general conversation, too) from our terrific captain, Brian. The best part: each of us got to steer the African Queen as we chugged out to Florida Bay and back.

Real steam engine chugging down the canals and out into the Atlantic. You can actually imagine being back in time. Wonderful captain and great crew mates to talk with. Once in a lifetime experience and worth the price.

Booked the "dinner cruise" even though I thought it was overpriced...but it has been my husband's dream to ride on the African Queen for years, so Merry Christmas! It turned out to be a delightful cruise, come and going from the restaurant. Loved going in the channels and looking at the houses, marinas, etc....and our meal was delicious! All in... More

We booked the trip before coming away so had chance to watch 'The African Queen' first. It made the trip even more interesting. It was an enjoyable trip anyway, cruising along the waterways and seeing Key Largo from a different angle but to be sitting on a piece of history made it even more special. Our guide talked about the... More

The African Queen was a fantastic experience! Not a thrill ride, but if you love Bogey then this is a must do. The Captain was friendly and informative. He let me take the Helm! We had a few Beers and talked with the other passengers about the movie. What a great time.

We were lucky enough to have a private cruise. My husband and I alone with our guide Richard, I had recently watched the movie African Queen on Netflix so I was very familiar with the story. It was so cool traveling in this piece of history and hearing how the African Queen ended up in Key Largo ( the name... More

This is a must for anyone who appreciates the movie Afican Queen. Our captain, Brian, did an excellent job of informing us if the history of the boat and of the making of the movie. The cruise through the canal was a fantastic opportunity to see some awesome Key Largp homes and yachts.

Ours turned out to be a trip for two but it was still very fun and informative. Brian was the perfect captain-witty, charming and laid back. We had a great time listening to the boat's history and details surrounding the movie.

My wife and I visited the Florida keys recently and stumbled upon the African Queen vessel from the movie docked next to the Holiday Inn in Key Largo. I love the film and thoroughly enjoyed Bogart and Hepburn's performance. We approached the African Queen ticket booth and were greeted by a young lady with a smile and an agreeable approach... More

If you have watched the Bogart/Hepburn movie you will love spending a couple of hours on this boat. Our host knew all the history of this water craft from pre movie times to movie times and on to the present. We had great fun steering the boat and blowing the steam whistle. It was just a fun nostalgic afternoon on... More
