Unfortunately the enormous amount of diving tourists have taken their toll on this once beautiful reef we started their 1986 and now it is almost unrecognizable, I am sure that hurricane Irma did not help

Very healthy reef, and an amazing view of the statue. We also snorkeled off the beach on the mock Spanish Ship Wreck.

The Christ statue is a must-see dive site but it's one of those must-see places that you feel like you have to see but don't go back. It's kind of boring after a few minutes, there isn't much wildlife in the area, and you can't...More

This was a experience to remember; water was very clear and it was a really cool thing to see. State park boat The Dolphin's captain and dive master were very friendly and professional. I recommend the 4 1/2 extended snorkel trip.

Crazy busy - everyone wants to see the statue. It was interesting, but so is the coral and sea life nearby - just beautiful.

We booked a 3:00 trip with Capt Darrell from John Pennekamp. The best snorkeling my husband and I have ever experienced. So many fish and, of course, the Christ of the Abyss!

This was our second stop on a snorkeling tour. It was breathtaking to see it surrounded by sea fans, coral, fish.

Snorkeling at the John Pennekamp State Park was a wonderful experience. We were a little afraid to do it at first as we had visions of swimming with sharks and barracudas, however, after jumping in and snorkeling our fears dissipated. We had a chance to...More

A beautiful blessed statue. My friend, Captain Gene Hamilton helped place it there years ago. It is a pleasure to see “God Of The Abliss “

I used a cheap waterproof camera from Wal-Mart. It cost $7.00 and comes with a large thick rubber band that attaches to your wrist so you can swim and not worry about dropping it. It was just a point and click nothing... More
