This was another gem my wife found on our recent trip. Very cool!! They have a ton of different birds. They are well cared for and the volunteers are quite willing to share their experiences and knowledge. Well worth the quick trip up the coast.

Nice diversion to check out variety of birds. Sad how many are residents - damaged due to fishing lines etc Free entry though - can't beat that

This is a great place to see pelicans up close and personal. Most of the pelicans here have been injured and brought here for care. While some are released back into the wild some make this there permanent. If you want to help adopt a Pelican. We did!

.......unless you really don't like birds because here, the birds are in your face from the moment you walk in until you leave. It doesn't look much from the outside and its not much better when you're inside, the facilities are slightly run down but the staff are keen and enthusiastic about their 'patients' and its good to see the... Very nice place for animal lovers, full of birds, pelicans that can be a surprise for some people ! Lovely access to the beach, so you can see the freed birds and pelicans surfing the coast, just a nice place to stop by that adults and kids love. And do not forget : birds do not have medical insurance.....!

Great little place. Price--fantastic, but really donation would be great. We all go to Florida to see paradise. We forget about the wild life, here you can see it all and great place that harbors sick birds. Unfortunately in today's society it's all about money and who can build the biggest and best resort but yet we all forget that... More

This place would be great to take the kids to so they can see these birds up close. Yes some areas don't smell that great but when you have all those birds it's to be expected. Just walking up to it after parking car you see all kinds of birds walking by you and up in trees. They are everywhere.... More

The Seabird Sanctuary is a big part of the community here and I would suggest to anyone and every family that comes anywhere near this area for vacation to stop here first. It's a great little place to walk around and see what kind of creatures inhabit this area, and it's important for people to learn the dark side of... More

Don't worry about the smell - it comes with the territory! Really not that bad depending on the weather conditions. This is a great place to get a close-up of some of the local birds that you can normally view only from a distance. Actually today, while we were walking on the beach, two of their volunteers were 'in action'... More

We visited here during the birds feeding time, which was so interesting. The volunteers explain how/why the birds are in there, and what they do to rehabilitate them. There is a vet on site. The birds are separated into "types" then ages or disabilities. Worth seeing!
