I know, it's a Nature Center but we don't have wild iguanas just roaming around where we live. So, that was the highlight. But, this place has amazing trails and views. It's beautiful and always has wildlife to view. We ran across 6 wild iguanas all in one place and then saw a huge one up a tree. That just... More

Just moved to the area and enjoyed a lovely trip down mangrove alley. Highly recommend if you're visiting or reside nearby.

This nature park is very-well kept, a low-key activity a few blocks from the beach. Besides the free trails and boardwalk paths, there is a small exhibit hall (fee $2). I highly recommend the 30- minute eco boat tour ($5) which takes you through the mangroves to the open waters of West Lake. The breeze was so refreshing on a... More

We have passed this place for 13 years and finally stopped. It is much better than I expected. It is a must to South Florida travelers. It takes no time to see everything, less than two hours. There are clean bath rooms and cold water fountains. The gift store is very small and nice. The paths and board walks are... More

Stopped here to stretch our legs and discovered a great place to revisit another time. We enjoyed a peaceful walk along one of the boardwalks and lived the popping sounds of the shrimp in the mud flats! Thus place is definitely one to stop at next time we're in town!

We walked over to the Kolb center from our hotel, about a half hour trek. It is a wonderful example of a mangrove swamp, would not want to walk through it, very thick. We saw lots of geckos, a big green lizard, many birds and crabs, and a raccoon. There is a tower with an elevator for panoramic views of... More

Very nice park, just off the ocean. We rode our bikes there several times; took their boat tour of the mangroves once and rented kayaks once to tour on our own. (It would have been better to take the boat tour prior to the self-guided kayak tour, we didn't know what to look for and missed a lot). Great value... More
