This was my second visit to Marshall. Again it was one of the highlights of the Miami visit. We were with 12 guys and everyone had a great experience. Why?

Mack (and dad) know so much about the nature of the whole ecosystem and they are great storytellers as well. You learn - in relaxed way - a lot about the wildlife and the history of the region. On top of this you have the transportation: 750 hp (about) swamp boats who will make you smile, for sure.

Forget the tourist trap Everglades tours, but choose for Marshall! They will never feed the animals, but they know where they are and you can see them in their natural habitat

I would like to recommend Mack's fishcamp very much.

We booked a sunset tour with Marshall on a Saturday night in December. It was just perfect and I would highly recommend Mack's Fish Camp airboat rides to anyone! Our tour was supposed to start at 4pm but we were running about 45 minutes late. Even though we arrived late, Marshall took us on a long wonderful ride and took as much time as needed to show us the beauty of Everglades. His passion for the flora and fauna of Everglades is amazing and you cannot ask for a better tour guide. We have done airboat rides elsewhere before, but it was not even a close comparison!
We absolutely loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Our airboat tour of the Everglades through Mack’s Fish Camp was amazing! This adventure is absolutely a "must do" for anyone visiting the Ft Lauderdale area. Marshall, a 5th generation Gladesman, is a tremendous guide and ambassador for the Everglades. His in-depth knowledge of the everglade’s history and ecosystem is impressive, and his ability to communicate his vast knowledge was well worth the cost of the tour. Add the thrill of gliding through the everglades on an air boat at high speed and we had a fantastic afternoon of great memories. We left smarter and much better informed, and very appreciative of Marshall's tremendous customer service, fitting us in last minute during a busy holiday week. We had originally planned to tour the Everglades with one of the more commercial companies, but happened upon Mack’s Fish Camp, and we are so happy we chose it. The small group size and personal nature of the tour allowed for continuous dialogue and learning. It was a remarkable day that we will always remember. This is one time where you reap huge dividends by paying a little extra to get a more personal experience. We highly recommend Mack’s Fish Camp!!

Book this tour NOW!! 10 Stars!!!

This is hands down the best, most authentic airboat tour in the Everglades! If you want the standard, commercialized, feed the gators tourist trap, do not go to Mack’s Fish Camp. This is a family owned and operated place that has been in the Everglades for five generations. This is the real deal! Marshall Jones has forgotten more about the Everglades than most people ever learn. Each tour is customized to the personal interests of the guests.
Our family group ranged from 7-75 years old and we all had an awesome time. The kids got to swim in the “River of Grass” and we learned about 6000 years of Native American culture, local flora and fauna and alligator behavior. At one point Marshall suddenly stopped the boat, jumped in the water and came up with a rarely seen Florida Snapping turtle! And yes, we all thoroughly enjoyed the exhilarating boat rides! Upon returning to the dock, the kids got to use the rope swing to drop into the canal to top off a spectacular day.

Mack’s Fish Camp is classic, old school Florida with wonderful people who will make you feel like family. We will definitely be back and will rent a cabin next time to hang out in this little slice of heaven!

I first experienced the Everglades about 20 years ago. I did the typical thing, pulled into the first place I found, jumped on a packed boat with about 20 people, and 30 minutes later we were back at the dock. It was a memorable time no doubt. But I don't remember the name of the place or the people who took us out. Fast forward to now, I'm back on a family trip with another couple and we have 4 teenage kids. This time I was looking for something a little more unique. I wanted to experience the everglades, not just see them. I spoke to a handful of places and nothing really flt. I was about to give up and after over looking Mack's Fish Camp initially I decided to call. Immediately my conversation with Marshall was much more personal than the previous outfits. He mentioned he was the 4th generation owner and his enthusiasm shined as he spoke. He highly recommended we take the sunset trip and although it was pretty much the exact opposite of my plan I felt I needed to listen. I didn't feel like a number anymore, I felt like this dude I was talking to lived in the Everglades and wanted to show me his stomping grounds. I could feel the passion and I knew he was the exact person that I wanted for the trip. As we arrived at the entrance we turned onto a two mile dirt road, my wife and the kids became a bit skeptical, but I knew as we entered the foot of the camp this trip was gonna be badass. We were greeted by his wife and Pumba the pig. We took some pictures with all the killer swamp buggies sitting around and hung out on the dock while we waited for him to get the boat ready. He showed us a camp in the middle of the everglades which apparently was at one point an old Indian reservation, took us fishing, educated us, told us stories and we saw plenty of gators. Put it this way, we had 2 girls, 16 and 17 years old, who are not outdoor enthusiast... and they absolutely loved the trip. Marshall simply turned out to be an awesome person to meet, we felt like we made a new friend. I know it seems like the name doesn't quite fit the bill when your searching for a fan boat ride but do yourself a favor, don't over look Mack's Fish Camp. I cant thank you enough Marshall, the adventure was totally of the charts!

We had an amazing sunset tour with Marshall and a comfortable overnight RV stay at his place in the middle of March! The tour exceed all of our expectations and everyone in our party (2 folks in their 70s and three in their 40s and 50s) are telling everyone we meet that it's a must-do adventure when you're in south Florida. Marshall is a walking encyclopedia on all things Everglades: his explanations about the flora, fauna, geography, topology, culture, and history of the place was fascinating and added much to our experience. Of course, the airboat ride was extraordinarially thrilling and unique, and we saw tons of wildlife, including lots of adult and juvenile alligators! We highly recommend the sunset tour, as it gives you a glimpse into life in the daytime, twilight, and nighttime. We got more than we paid for, and will definitely come back for more! Thank you Marshall!

We all had a wonderful time with Captain Marshall on this adventurous airboat ride, he took extra time showing us different things and really enjoyed the personal attention. Our nieces and nephews really thought it was great and enjoy the airboat ride as well as the Fishcamp. I would highly recommend this air boat tour which is much better than the other very commercialized airboat Tours.

Very easy to book, we were sent a text making it very easy to locate. Awesome down to earth tour by Captain Cody. Cody obviously, and for good reason, loves what he does.

It was great to get a better understanding of othe eco system that makes up the Everglades and to experience it first hand as well as to gain a better understanding of the history.

If you don’t get off the beaten path and experience what Mack’s Fish Camp has to offer you are missing the experience of a lifetime. Jaw dropping scenery, but best keep your mouth shut so you don’t catch a dragonfly.

The airboat is a pretty amazing piece of technology, no breaks, no reverse, turns on a dime. Earmuffs provided.

Down to earth people and no commercialized BS. Worth every penny.

Stated simply, a completely professionally done private airboat ride for my wife and I. The business started in the 1920-30's and his great grandfather founded the business and it's refined in the family ever since. The owner, Marshall Jones could not have provided a better 2 hour tour! Not only did he explain the history of the everglades area surrounding his business, his knowledge of the flora and fauna was superb and his airboat was like new + he had a variety of boats for bigger groups. He took us to a private Hammock (island in the Everglades) where a small house and pond were located and owned by his friend and maybe the best item of all was, aside from his genuine & friendly personality was an up close look at at monster gator, 12-14 feet long and he described to us the biggest "strangler vine" in the everglades. He had some beverages and snacks and his tour I'd highly recommend to others that are searching for the best "bang for the buck."

Are you looking for a guided tour with some teeth where you can easily be considered prey, and the ubiquitous grass is called "sawgrass" for a reason? If you’d like a little bit of danger, but still want to make it out alive and with all the body parts you arrived with, we’re probably on the same page. If we’re even more alike, you’ll also want a guide that knows their stuff; not just a narrow focus of information but someone who has a firm grasp of the biology, chemistry, physics, geology, history, law, and politics of the place. Marshall, your guide, can weave with eloquence and passion the threads of this marvelous ecosystem into a tapestry using his vast background of information. Even better if that person was born and raised there and whose family goes back 5 generations. Marshall at Mack's fish camp is all this AND MORE.
