This little park made up for my earlier disappointing visit to Florida's granddaddy Everglades when I visited Miami in Nov 2017. If it wasn't for Amelia, my whole trip would've been a disaster (just like the hurricane Irma) because Miami city is not really my cup of tea.
The park is green, it has lakes that are clean, there are trails for walking in woods, horse stable, children play area with goats and most of all, for a city park it has plenty of wildlife. At one point I saw a big lizard coming out of public restrooms (maybe it was inspecting it for cleanliness) These little Komodo Dragons are all over the place and freely walking among chickens, goats and other water birds. It can easily be classified as a mini zoo plus a nature reserve.
And its named after the Brave aviator Amelia Earhart who was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. What's not to like?

Very suspicious at night time, I usually see a lot of movements going on around the park by the trees a little further..and if I don't recall I believe there were a lot of crimes going on around that park in the early 1970s or 1980's I don't really know the exact time period

This is a very pretty Park with a variety of things to do. There are traditional play structures, bicycling, off-road mountain biking, paddle boat rental, picnic tables in shelters, remote control boat racing, wakeboarding and a bunch of sports fields. It costs $7 to park on weekends.

Historic park in Hialeah offering a diversity of activities and options for families and athletes. It has a very nice play area for children. A petting zoo with a barn. A general store. A lake with kayaks and petal boats. Many shelters that can be rented for gatherings and parties.

Love this park! Great place to have a birthday party, bbq, spend time with friends and family, take the kids to the park or take them to see the animals. Best park yet.

Hi, I'm not sure if you posted a map of the shelters but I can't see that in your post. Can you send me the pic if you still have it or where I can find a link to it? Thank you

Hi, Pablo!! I just read your question. The hours are from 7 am to 7pm and it applies to the petting zoo as well. Many brides and moms to be choose the petting zoo for their pictures and they look amazing.
Cheers!!
Flor

Es muy fácil, puedes hacerlo online o por teléfono sólo que apurate porque en ese parque las casetas se rentan muy rápido el parque es muy bonito las casetas son muy amplias y el precio asequible, comparado con otros parques del condado.
