What an enchanting place-this would be PERFECT for smaller weddings or maybe engagement dates. Staff is very friendly and the butterflies are in such a gorgeous habitat, it makes you want to find a meadow!

This place would appeal to a wide variety of people (different walks of life and different ages). This screen-enclosed structure replicates the tropical rain forest habitat that butterflies like. There is a wide-variety of tropical plants that serve as food plants for the butterflies. The...More

Great place for kids, with regular butterfly releases and short talks by experts who can answer questions. Beautiful landscaping. It is outside and can be quite hot in summer--but you can then re-enter the museum, which is air-conditioned, and has dinosaur skeletons and exhibits interesting...More

Went here when our daughter visited and had a fantastic day! The varieties are beautiful and the talks were so informative. The exhibits are exceptional! Will be going back even though it’s quite a drive from where we live - we’ll worth the trip!!

We visit this place every year when we have guests visiting from out of state. Very relaxing and a great place to get beautiful photos of butterflies. They also have small quail/birds that hide in the bushes so make sure you look for them.

It was a truly amazing time. You have to be careful not to touch them because you could get them sick. However, it was amazing watching so many different species in one place. :)

. . . but this one is top notch. This is a research facility as well as an attraction. Tons of butterflies and small tropical birds. Nice path through the facility. Be aware that everything closes at 5 and they eliminate access to the butterflies...More

Been here twice. If we lived in Gainesville, would come here often. Wonderful exhibit. Very well done. One could spend hours watching these beautiful creatures.
