Several different types of (mostly) colorful butterflies are free to fly around and feed on flowers or fruit left out for them. If you smell good (sweet, no cigarette smoke), they might land on you, too. Fun for all ages, except maybe jaded teenagers.

We went in December which is not the ideal time of year to see butterflies. I would suggest a visit in spring or summer to get the best show.More

Free admission with gator1 ID and children with straight A's on report card get free admission too. You can also access the Natural History Museum and it's also next to the Harn Art Museum.More

As others have said, no, the exhibit is not protected from the rain. We also are required to close during lightning or heavy storms.

Yes, all Florida Museum exhibits are wheelchair accessible. The Butterfly Rainforest path was recently widened in some areas to improve access.
